From the matches I've seen of him lately he has been quite a good player. Much improved from previous seasons. :thumbsu:
 
He's been pretty good. Very good tonight.

Main trouble is match-ups, as he is slow and not an ideal height for KP (which is how he plays). Kicking is erratic, but much improved.

Definitely won't be on the delist page come end of the year, especially with Wakelin all but gone.

He seems to be playing a much smarter game against his oponent. Rather than the conventional sticking close to your man, step by step method, he is staying a fair way off his opponent so he can both chop off passes and gets a run on to use his fantastic spoiling ability.

Also his kicking has improved somewhat (at least he is a bit more confident and less predictable in that he used to look for a handoff ALL the time).
 
yeah I'm glad to see jason back in the side, even though he isnt the best player i love his guts and try, so i hope he keeps performing well!!
 
definitely shown enough in the last few weeks to show that he's worth keeping on the list next year. and i must say I'm happy about it too. I like the boy.:thumbsu:
 
Cloke is and has always been capable of playing good football. People need to realise that all teams need back up players. Cloke is a perfect example of a back up player. McGough for St. Kilda is another, while he may not be in their best 22 each week, he is a strong back up player when injuries hit, much like Cloke.
 
I thought Cloke was great last night, i just hope MM leaves him there in defence and not try to play him as a foward which doesn't suit at all i think.
 
Great game from C1 last nite.
He has improved in lots of areas & one thing you know you are gonna get with Jason is 110% commitment..

this is the most important thing

play him in a role that suits, ie something in the back end

good to see that mick realised he couldn't go with burton and stuck lonie on him, (lonie now has given goodes & burton touch ups, very handy to have a player who can handle these types of players!!)

clement, j.cloke, maxwell all good at taking the smaller KP players whilst presti takes the gun!!

Therussian, as you know, I am a fan of one Jason 'Superfit' Cloke.
My beef is with Malthouse and why he isn't given a go or is continualy benched or dropped at the first sign of trouble.

Russian, do you still think Ryan Lonie is considered one of the 'tough' men in football?

i just hope jasons brother 1 comes good as jasons brother 2 is going ok at the minute.

I have taken your Ryan Lonie comment as a personal slur on my football knowledge, as you know i think he has ability but lacks the toughness and smarts to play consistant AFL, but it is a proven fact he is tougher than at least one other present AFL player, his initials are N Lonie
