Some of you need to settle down.

He had a really good game, but when I mean good game, he had a real crack and played to the best of his ability. He stood up on the day that mattered.

BUT

At the end of the day he's an average player. He's like Matt Priddis except Gram can run lines. Unfirtunately the ball was in his hands too much (not his fault). You guys needed the ball in Lenny Hayes' hands but he got stopped after the first quarter.

Great effort by Gram but let's not lose sight of the fact he's a complimentary player who can run lines and feed/bomb the ball quickly into the forward line. Only a few players have the finesse and skill to win a game off their own back and unfortunately he isn't one of them.

He was not BOG. Just because he got the ball a lot doesn't mean he was the best player. He didn't do enough with the ball to be BOG. He had a good game but Chapman probably had half the possessions but it's what he did with them that counted.

Personally, I thought Chapman was best. On the voting system though; which is better, to be viewed in the top 3 by more judges or to be best on ground by 3 judges only? Im not sure

Anyway, Chapman was more important and if it's much of a muchness then you have to go with the player from the winning side.

SJ was rubbish as you say, but not convinced it was all to do with Baker. I felt SJ was having an off day and not even Raph Clarke playing on him would change it.

Oh no doubt, I don't subscribe to the fact that a player is just rubbish because of one reason on any given day, but Baker was one of our better players with that desperation that it seemed a disservice to the man to even think that Stevie J tore us a new one.

On the topic of Gram though, I'm not a fan of the count back system as if they deem it more important to find the single best player in a GF they should also count back for all dual winners of the brownlow, MVP, coaches award and etc. Otherwise it's not a blight on the award if those voting on it ended up picking 2 people with the same amount of votes. But thems the breaks.
