Forgot to mention the Saints wonkiest too, dont get me wrong, great wins and happy for them but lets take a chill pill. It was the might of, checks notes, Carlton and WCE whom these "saints are different" have played well against. Lets chill out and stop the hyperbole pal



Suns (a), Tigers (h), Dockers (a), Hawks (h), Swans (a) will make or break how the AFL fraternity actually views this football club pal

That's the same Ben McKay you and every media **** wit piling onto because the midfield up the field isnt helping
That's the same 27 year old Lachie Blackiston who hasn't even been on an AFL list a year or with 20 games to his name
The same Zac Reid who has spent more time in the medical room than on the field
and the same Jaxon Prior who was a fringe player at another AFL club who was shifted via free agency


seriously cant believe this is the standard the AFL media has sunk too

Look I dislike Jay Clark but let’s pretend that criticism of Essendon’s back-line is not warranted. McKay took the contract, he’s gotta cop the heat when he plays to VFL standards.
 
Clark is the embodiment of 2026 footy media.

Reactionary, flip flopping, hyperbolic and just plain dumb.

These are types that have so many things running around in their brains they can't string together a coherent thought, one week a player is a superstar, the next he should be traded. They don't really give a s*** about the actual games, it's always what is next, sacking a player, sacking a coach, getting this player in to fix this problem.

I can vividly remember watching Talking Footy with Bruce, Sheahan and Blight in the mid 90s and they discussed the actual footy. Today I would rather poke my eyes out with a stick than watch footy shows including the one with Clark. Utter crap.

This speaks volumes. The attitude that AFL is now nothing more than a meat market year round and that the games are secondary for much of the media.

I don't regret for a second ditching Fox/Kayo years ago. Not for a second.
On top of that I haven't read the Herald Sun for years either.

I reckon David Zita is just as bad if not worse, never one to use 100 words when he can use a 1,000 plus he tells you the story over and over again but just adding more words to it.

As far as Zero Hanger is considered footy media. Amazingly poor career decisions from Stevo. Quits his role as Chief Football Reporter at 7 to go work as a media manager for the Vic Libs (specifically Michael O'Brien). Then gets the arse when there's a leadership spill. Then goes to work in media for the Vic Nats, ends up getting the arse there. Then goes to work for Sky News and somehow gets the arse there.

Finally winds up at a fourth rate footy website.
