First, BOC needs to show semblance of form. Second, Ackermann is not riding the TDF, despite what is listed on the PCS. Third Ackermann needs to find some form, although having mezgec by his side will help him with positioning in the final.
Not sending your best Sprinter to the Tour when you don't really have a top 10 GC candidate for it is a choice.

They have Bling, Plapp, O'CONNOR and Schmid to win stages.

Bling out for the next month and a half with two broken wrists (minimum)
Jayco has been lucky so far to avoid the injury plague in the peleton, however, Bling is a big loss because of his versatility and ability to get UCI points. Reckon he will be back in June because its hard to go on the ergo with two broken wrists. Anyway he should ride the TDF and the Vuelta before winning the 2027 Aussie Nats. I hope Schmid is taken to TA and ride for GC.

I'd be surprised if he does that, given the Worlds is in Montreal and would be a big target

World's is too hard for Bling.

World's is too hard for Bling.
It's basically the same course as GP Montreal. Which he rides every year. As I sadi, I'd be surprised.

Vendrame looking like a very solid pick up.
Not sure what they would be paying him, but certainly strengthened Jayco's one day racing presence.

You'd think he'll ride the Giro and try and go for a stage win on a hilly / medium mountain stage.

And finish the season with the Italian one day races.

Should be good for 800+ UCI points.

Lucky given Matthews' injury

Paris-Nice with the full sprint train.
Donaldson had a decent 10th place on the first stage.
Ackerman was left without a single team mate in sight in the last 1km.
He got himself in good position with 100 - 150 to go but just had zero acceleration and finished 14th. Pretty disappointing result!

Ackermann is struggling, however, it would be nice if he had one rider in the final km. I'll also add he tends to ride independently in finals instead of using his team. Finally, the two sprints in PN were won by riders who had a leadout rider.

Groenewegen's success lately in a weak team shows how bad Jayco have been.
In fairness they've improved a lot (Rockets that is) and he all but gets a team dedicated to him. Between Reinders and Larsen he's got two good domestiques, Muller looks to be someone with WT level talent and he'll probably add Townsend to his train.

Jayco's sprint trains are a mess. Ackermann isn't anywhere near as good as DG (and their reflective pay shows that in fairness) but he can't get a consistent couple of riders, let alone team. He really should skip the Giro and focus on getting a good team for the Tour, he's not in the top 5, and probably on the fringe of the top 10 sprinters in the Giro when you consider it has DG, Milan, Magnier, Groves, Andreson, Vernon, Van Uden and DVP there.

Groenewegens success has nothing to do with Jayco. He had an off year but still won 3 races.

Ackermann did a good sprint against Groenewegen last week. His problem is that he prefers to find his way in the final, instead of using his team.

Seb Berwick get a gig next year?

Australian, 26 years old and out of contract.

Seems to be riding and climbing pretty well this year. Would seem at least a decent mountain domestique which would probably be helpful for the team.

Watched a bit of the stage 5 Catalunya and bouwman lasted 5km into the 16 km last climb.

Don’t know if Double is sick or something but he finished 30 mins back.

Chance of a WT contract. I'd have him over Porter

Bouwman has been massively disappointing.
Agreed. Was hoping for a good domestique/possible stage hunter but it's been lacklustre. I can see a Rockets contract in the near future.

I find that the Jayco training program does not work for some read Boumann and Krinjsen, yet works for others read Schmid and Double. The biggest issue is the non performance of OConnor who was employed as a GC rider and has produced yiltch. My opinion is if does not do a good GC in the Giro you can't renew his contract. You can then do three things. First, get a developing GC rider, pay Schmid extra money and get Vine and promise him TDF start.

Interesting that they chose Itzulia as the one WT race they've chosen to skip for the season. Too close to Catalunya?

Jayco is riding the Tour of the Alps. BOC has returned to altitude after doing a block before Catal7nya. He is getting desperate.
