Jed has a lot of ticker, but that is where it more or less stops for him. His general skill levels are poor and he kicks far too much possession away. I can't really understand why the Suns would have an interest in him.

He's a glue guy and one of the more liked players at North.

A lot of shit went down regarding the vaccinations and his wife and kids remained in Darwin for most of the year, he's building a big place up there.

I imagine this is the closest he can be back to home and experience a bit more of his hobbies (fishing/ spear fishing etc) in the more tropical climate.

His footskills are absolutely diabolical at times though.

Ironic that we've swapped two of these poorly skilled culture guys (Anderson and Greenwood) in consecutive offseasons.

Wish him all the best.

Losing Greenwood has been a bit of a blessing for the Suns. He was absolute trash this year and Jed is a much better footballer right now.

Was kind of hoping Bulldogs would look into Jed as a Dunkley replacement. Great pickup GCS.

Your first comment is the answer to your misunderstanding.
The suns need more ticker and if he is in a good headspace being further north he could be valuable to have in your squad.
We have Wilson and colyer in our 30
And I love what they bring to the team.

He's really not.

They are both pretty terrible.

Anderson has a lot of endearing qualities, but I'm not exaggerating when I say he's in the worst 10 kicks in the league.

He's a tackling machine and hard as a cats head, which would be fine, but he accumulates quite well.

Which is a real problem when you turn it over as much as he does.

I did check his numbers and if we talk about turnovers, in his better years, 2019 - 2.9, 2020 - 3.5. Compare that to, e.g., in 2022, LDU who had a great year - 4.6, Simpkin 5.6, Hugh 3.1.

His disposal from usually around 50/50 kicks/handballs ratio - 74% in 2019, 67% in 2020. E.g., in 2022, LDU 76%, Simpkin 63%, Hugh 69% with comparable kicks/handballs ratio.

Surely, as a cheap depth on min half Hugh's salary, Suns can live with that. Unless Suns are hit with injuries, it's VFL for Jed.

Interestingly, Suns have now 8 indigenous players on the list linked to NT plus 5 more players from different cultural background.
