You would be better to go the other way.
Warnock with Meeson as his back up and use Naitanui as the most frightening first year ruck rover in the history of the AFL.
He don't just tackle he smashes and he would present a rather difficult match up scenario and be the best 3rd man up you have ever seen.
If you drop White and don't get Warnock - Jamar will need to lead the ruck and you can look forward to another poor year.

well this shows how much of an idea you had...
Johnson is quite an athletic ruckman. Played forward last week and easily had Leo Barry covered on the lead. Is also very good below his knees, unfortunately for a ruckman he can't seem to catch above his head. PJ is definately not slow.

Spot on Browndog. I think the Lions will end up winning because they're a better team but I'm rapt with how they're attacking the ball. Jamar would be desperate to play well to get a contract extension and the suggestion that he'll roll over and tank is laughable - his career is on the line.

Bailey is sending the message that every player, no matter how experienced, has to earn their place. It's a change from players keeping their place by "right".
Bailey also has eight more games to sort out his list for 2009 and beyond. Somehow, I don't think White will be part of the future.

I'm quite happy to argue that White's been nowhere near Melbourne's most consistent player.
Anyway, I'm not interested in what White did five years ago. I'm interested in what he's been doing for the last five weeks, and that's totally ineffective hitouts, few possessions around the ground, unaccountable for his opposition ruckman, and acting like a rabbit in the spotlight when he gets the ball under pressure. Melbourne's clearance rate has been terrible.
Jamar is nothing exciting around the ground either, but he won the hitouts against Charman yesterday 25-19, and provided our first win in the clearances for weeks.
Unlike you, I can see what Bailey is trying to do and that is building commitment long-term and developing a side, and I don't care if you give it a glib label like "tanking".
