Over 18 months.

Kids that are 18 always have room to grow. I was 176cm at the age of 18 and would now be 179-180.

Nicko was listed as 196cm prior to draft camp which lead many, including myself, to question his suitability as a genuine ruckman at AFL level.

However he measured at 200.9 IIRC at draft camp.

At that stage those worries were dispelled.

However, it sounds as if we view McGovern as more a KP prospect then ruckman.

Growth spurts happen after 18. I grew another couple cm's from 180 in high school to be 187 at 21.

Sorry if this is a huge bump, but I've played for the same club as Jeremy McGovern. Last season, I played with his younger brother for North Albany.

I can't remember too much about him. He was a little bit slow, but his skills were certainly great. I never knew the Hawks were looking at him.

It's weird seeing people talk about Warrick Proudlove even...
