LOL! Is this the same St Kilda that only a couple of years ago had blokes pinging hammies every week?

And unless an ankle is suddenly classified as soft tissue, then I don't think that will make a difference.

By all accounts Collingwood did a medical on him and he failed. Which makes his decision to leave very strange, because if he fails Geelong's or Brisbane's medicals where does that leave him?

If you read my post...I said fantastic record in 2009.

yes the ankles are a concern...but so are the hammies. You'd have to get both right.

The Saints and Pies have the facilities and medical teams to put the work into him. And their injury records in 2009 were amongst the best in the league for soft tissue.

Only throwing it up there. I have no idea about what his medical tests revealed.

Yeah terrible management down at Geelong by thier medical and fitness team they just happened to get most of those players up and about when it mattered .

Yes Steve Johnson looked fantastic on Grand Final Day and Ottens was moving at a 1/4 rat power.

Not saying there is anything wrong with the Geelong medical staff, all I am pointing out is that there are no magical medical cures to be found at Geelong or any other club and Jesse is kidding himself if the thinks there is.

I have a different slant on Jesse Smith.

I believe that he should be delisted and spend 2010 playing in one of the State Leagues.

If he can get through an uninterrupted season in a lower intensity competition - he will surely be redrafted because of his undoubted ability.

He needs to give his body every chance to recover from his injury.

There is a lot of sense in that idea.

Two probs though:

He's injured himself the last two times in the VFL twos.

He has an enormous ego and probably wouldn't accept that.

Pick 28 princess (and that was unders).

Nice parting shot by Smith about North's facilities/medical team. Pretty rare to hear such things through the media. Might be best that he's departing.

Wants to go to Collingwood. But failed a medical. Pies still might look at him in PSD though

Ideas on what selection he'll go?

I'd be more than happy to see the Crows use our 2nd rounder. But feel he won't last that long.

Very late ND pick or pre season pick. He may be a very talented player but he is a big risk. I think either Geelong or Collingwood will take him.

Would like the Crows to have a crack. Wouldn't be too upset sending our 2nd pick his way.

The chances of him even playing in 2010 are slim. No club is going to use it's second rounder.

Bitter much?

Bitter much?

Jesse is a gun player but he really is only stating fact.

He is unlikely to ever get it right, he has shown that so far.

His legs are incredibly underdeveloped, that's not being silly, they really have been noticeably thin for some time.

Whether that attributes to the weakness, I'm not sure.

North supporters have every right to be bitter about the Jesse Smith situation but stating that he is unlikely to get himself right is more stating fact than hoping he fails.
