He did OK, his usual 2 goal return. He kickstarted the match in his true inimitable fumbling Benny Hill style. One day, when we are less tense, we will remember the man fondly for that trait of conjuring a goal out of a complete self inflicted mess of odd bounces and ill positioned limbs.
Stop sooking about White coz your man Cloke isn't in there. Cloke should be pushing Cox or Moore out of the side, not White, who is our 3rd tall.
THAT mark from Cox, that would have been Cloke a few years back.

Good depth to have: 3rd tall, 2nd ruck and can put in the back line in case of emergency. Unless Gault becomes seriously good overnight, I don't see why not.

Needs to put another 6-8 weeks together, I highly doubt the club would have had plans for him next year.

Teams need a list of about 30 these days, Pies with our injuries about 40 his not going to be on big money, I would give him 2 years.

Apologies if it looked like that, didn't intend it to make it an personal attack, was actually a bit in jest.

It is not a like for like for me but if we played finals... on current form and team composition probably still White.
I like the unpredictability and the athleticism. I don't know how to express it but he seems to be enjoying his time on the field, probably because the spotlight is no longer on him. Which has a positive effect on the rest of the team . Same reason for keeping Cox in. It is a feel good story and so far it is working out great. His first goal, his first bounce, it is great for the team to be part of that.
With Cloke, it is the weight of expectations, proving the doubters wrong. The same was said of Jack Riewoldt who also was a massive sook on the field. Until Cloke plays again with freedom and confidence and lifts the team with his presence, I would keep him out.
Remind me once we are in the finals and we'll see how we all are doing and who is playing where.

That said, it may well be your reality which is fine.

No need to apologize probably too many wines on my part so I missed the jest part :drunk:

Look I am on record as saying we will never win a Grand Final with White in our team.....I stand by that.

I will remind you closer to finals when we get there.....regarding Cloke.

Once again well done White.
 
I've had too much wine which means I can take care of the things I'd otherwise avoid. And so I say sorry to Jesse White. In the privacy of my own lounge room I've occasionally suggested that you needed the same treatment they mete out to horses with broken legs, and quite often I've been sure that between the two of us you've been the bigger spectator during games.

But you've done some impressive things over the past weeks. Maybe you'll return to your wickedly insipid ways, but for now it's nice to know that you can in fact run towards contests with intent and tackle other men to the ground. Keep it up, and keep the bun in you insist upon it.

That is an easy prediction. I doubt we can make the GF this year, next year will be a bit of a stretch too and beyond that it would be hard for Jesse or Travis to find a spot in the side anyway.
Realistically, we have to see them both play next to Cox and Moore before making a call. It might work out even better with Cloke but I am indeed biased there and rather keep White in until we get Cloke really playing out of his skin. No gifting of games, not just about good enough but really really earn it.

I said the same thing about Leon Davis.

With Gault again a prime delisting candidate.. can't see any way we'd want to be rid of White as well. His form over the rest of the year will have a bit to do with it I suppose.. as long as he stays serviceable then surely Gault goes and White stays.
