Collingwood are gonna win this. Essendon are too far behind in the wet, and the three-quarter time siren has gone.

McGough has to get the Rising Star nomination this week, and the 'Pies are 31 up.

I'm not looking forward to the avalanche on the boards after this one...

Likewise

It's going to be a real horrible period..i might just not come back for a while.

Essendons worst enemy is the rain today. Wish it was nice like in Sydney today.

Bur credit to the pies.

Also looks like Peverill has a broken wrist courtesy of Steve McKee's boot.

If Macca got one week with his good record, Lloyd should get 3. Let's see how corrupt the AFL is this week.

Nothing in that. He actually backed off I thought - could have really crunched Cloke but just went for the ball. Nothing to worry about there. Also, McKee was already bleeding before Lloyd bumped him.

Bit bitter about McLeod are we, Em? :p

It's going to get rough over the next few days. I'm sure we will see some people popping out of the woodwork.

Far be it for me to defend Lloyd, but there was nothing in that. Unlike McLeod last week, Lloyd has eyes on the ball only.

He might have to explain himself for his Knights-like slap on Wakelin in the 1st quarter.

They are saying on TV that Peverill likely to miss 8-10. He just can't take a trick that bloke.

Thats what I am not looking forward to is influx of part time pies supporters or new ones that will flood these boards.
I can see allot getting booted with over the top replies.

And on the game.
All I am going to say is "What a difference the weather makes"

Totally in agreeance here, Lloydy shouldn't have to front for the hit on Mckee, he simply made a hard contest, nothing in it at all, just like McLeod last week.

Pies just seem to be playing the better wet weather footy today and are better at ground level up forward than the Bombers. Well done to them.

Calm down people! How about you lot stop makeing stupid posts which is ONLY going to prevoke the idiotic crap!

Yeah I'm a pies fans and proude of a win, especially on the BIGGEST game of the year excluding the GF!

We have played awesome footy and deserved the win!

final score:

Collingwood : 9 12 66
Essendon : 4 9 33

GO THE PIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nothing for lloyd to answer too in both counts!
the 1st one while it looked bad in slow mo the fact is he committed early to a contest.mckee was backing back with courage a collision was inevitable.
the 2nd one geez if anyone says he should get cited for this needs there head read:D
cheers!

Hear Hear!

All today established is that Essendon are not a threat they used to be and they dont know how to play football in wet heavy conditions.

Which one?? The one where he knocked Mckee looked slightly suss but nothing will come of it....and the one in the third quarter was not a report. Mcleod came from in front with his eyes on the man....Lloyd came from behind and was just a bit late getting to the ball

Really... ?

Second biggest game of the year eh? On occassion, probably... but the Anzac game is just as important as another home and away game, since it is one. Would you rather win a elimination, semi or pelim. final, or the Anzac match? It's only worth 4 points, and not a berth in the Grand Final.

Remember that Collingwood fans. But great win, I was really happy to see Essendon register their lowest score in a long time. :D

I just hope the weather doesn't become an excuse, because if you ask me, it shouldn't be. Collingwood had to deal with it too.

Profoundly disappointed in the boys today. Not sure I will even bother watching the replay when it comes to the States.

Pretty engrossing game despite the conditions - fantastic win to the Pies.

As I Tiger fan I envy Collingwoods ability to take it up to the Dons. Not an easy task in any conditions.
