Everybody overpays..

Jetta could be worth a first round pick, think about it.

Young player who is on the verge of a breakout season, showed some good signs during this season, uses it well and is a goal kicker after finally playing in the midfield..

If he is to go, I would be devastated, he is the one uncontracted player I would be devastated to see let go.
 
If we lose Jetta im not really counting on anything in return. It will probably be either GC who can get him for free or WC who can get him via psd. Maybe we will get a pick in the 30-40 range. We just do not have much leverage.

Hi Morebeer,

I spoke to one of his family members on the weekend over here in the west, and he suggested he is going to GC and its a done deal.

Take that with a grain of salt though, these things can change quickly.

Hopefully he resigns for you.

It is always possible that the family member has provided incorrect information - But I can't imagine RE would post this information for no reason.

On the weekend? I'd imagine he is now aware that Sir Jim is taking the helm and has back flipped on his decision.

There has been chatter in the last 10 days linking Jetta to the GC - Which i thought was interesting - seeing that all players linked to the GC during the season have fallen into line - Still waiting for Ablett. And the supposed interest in Jetta hasn't followed the script.

So its not as if this post has come from left field.

I just dont see it happening after Jetta relocated some of his family to melbourne this year. Dont see him making them move again and from most reports all the essendon people are waiting to see whos coach which is smart and jetta's management has been meeting with essendon over the week.

He's probably just learning from Davey how to stall contract negotiations so he can get more money.

I am a bit wary of the whole Jetta for the GC scenario.

Only for the reason that players that have signed for the GC - were linked to the club during the year - And Ablett will be next.

The Jetta link to the GC has come out of left field in the last 10 days.
