Re: Tonsillitis floors Bartel

Better now than later in the season. We probably would have rested him for one of the NAB matches anyway.

Get well soon Jimmy and enjoy eating ice cream!

Bartel won the brownlow after he had to have his appendix removed in 2007.

Perhaps this is a sign :D

Re: Tonsillitis floors Bartel

Sidelined for only 2 weeks! I had my tonsils out as a 25 year old and I was still in the foetal position 10 days later. Bugger of an operation.

They have made major advances with that procedure in the past 25 years so I'm told Bethy.:p:D

To be serious, I wish Jimmeh a speedy recovery with no complications cos we'll need him to be as fit as against the Saints.

appendix, tonsils...at least there is nothing else left to be removed from him now!

Re: Tonsillitis floors Bartel

Sorry to intrude but couldnt find another thread on it.. but in the same article (afl.com one tho) it also mentions Chappy having some kind of injury as well?

James Podsiadly has been ruled out due to a broken hand, while Cameron Ling is struggling to overcome a hamstring problem and Paul Chapman is battling a calf strain.

Did this occur during last week's game? Or is it just a niggle that he's managing? Will it be serious enough to affect or possibly reemerge throughout the season?

Hopefully its not serious (lucky its not a hamstring strain!) coz who doesnt love seeing that big bald monster running around doing as he pleases and kicking goals.. :D

They removed mine by tying them to a piece of string then the other end to a door handle and closing it. I also wore a string of onions as that was the fashion of the day.
