Hey Lads,

Apologies to post a S/C question here, but it's an important grand final!

I have Jnr in my team and my opponent has Bartel as his captain. Jnr should tear it up, but im a bit worried about his recent SC form (81,155,83 since returing from injury) - How did he look last week? Did he handball so much due to his ankle, or was rawlings up his clacker?? Do you think he would do better this week, particularly in comparison to Jimmy?

Will be get reduced TOG to 'freshen up'

Should I avoid him and take my 2nd choice (Riewoldt - lowest score of 98 since round 12)..

Any help would be MUCHLY appreciated guys.

anyways, we have the bummers.. and as i said, since round 12 Roo has gotten a minimum of 98, which is quality. No fletcher, Michael up forward, Ryder will probably get him. Gill kicked 5 on him the other week

Will jnr be tagged? eagles dont have anyone to tag him do they, besised selwood, but from memory he went to stevie J last time @ subi

Jnr can get the 150-170.. Roo will probably get 110 - 130 i would hope...

I guess it's that Jnr can get the big one, and Roo will get me the 120+.. argh! :confused:

If anyone else has an opinion (esp on how he went last week as i missed the game), i'd love to hear
 
I'd doubt that Jnr would have as quiet a game as those two low scoring ones. He cut up the Eagles last time they played, and will be pushing hard in the lead up to finals. Even if he doesn't score you 150, he'll get at least 120.
 
I didn't think he was reluctant to kick so much as he was always in the place where a handball was the better option. It was quite odd how many times he was the final releasing handball in the chain.

I'd take Gaz, coz he will most likely kick goals too.

What was he like last week? Haevy tag or just a bit off?

I know its a pain... next yr try having both of them in your team ...... Mind you didnt do me anygood this yr.
 
Is it a stupid question to ask if you have any trades left? And if so, is it worth trading for Jim in order to nullify it all?

I don't really like SC and all that, because at the start of the year, I picked my team (The 119ers, lol) which had about 95% Geelong players. Now we have had one of the most dominant seasons on record, and against WCE when we won by 135, and had the most disposals in AFL history, I still freakin lost! What's goin on there??

was gonna pick up Bartel 3 weeks ago, but needed a defender desperately...

Hah yeah fantasy is a bit weird like that, but you gotta spread the load across diff teams... just the way it is.. nxt yr bartel and ablett will be in my team, and corey.. and selwood.. lol...

My guess would be that the other players combinded total was greater then Geelongs...
 
I don't see Gaz Jnr playing a huge amount of having a massive game. But he can be that efficient that it doesn't matter. Usually I'd say leave it with Gaz but for this week I'd be having Riewoldt. I have Ablett and Bartel in my team and left it with Bartel this week.

I watched him very closely last week, he moved exceptionally well, burnt Rawlings off alot of the time - and lost him a lot pushing forward, dont worry about Gary, he is flying..

Its just that his team mates over looked him a lot last week, sometimes rightly - other times not so, just one of those games, id be looking for a strong performance of Ablett, I dont think Bartel will go aswell, because he has been pushing into defence a lot - and it shouldnt go down there as much, so I doubt he will be able to play kick to kick with Scarlett in the backline this week..
 
Oh, FFS. I asked this question in probably 50 different ways yesterday, in different threads, on both the SC & DT boards, and was like the freakin' invisible man. Now when it's too late, I stumble across the answers.:mad:

I changed from Ablett to Bartel with about 1/2 hour to go last night, solely because I was worried about his handball:kick ratio last week.

Nothing surer than this coming back to bite me and costing me both my SC & DT seasons.:thumbsd:

You're probably pretty happy now tho:)

I went Bartel captain...opponent has Ablett. Bartel 60 ablett -3 so far.
