Just finished watchng him against Dudi Sela. The boy sure seems to love playing in Australia it seems.

For such a young guy, I think he has an extremely bright future, and will be up there with Nadal, Federer, Djokovic for grand slam finals and possible world number 1.

I just hope his back injurie doesn't worsen to cut short what looks to be a promising career.

I guess I just don't see what other people see in his arsenal.

Along with Nadal and Djokovic who were mentioned in the OP, I rate Murray and Monfils higher, and as stronger contenders for grand slams and top rankings.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching the guy play and do like him.

Love the way he plays and his charisma, but if you're going to wear a cap playing tennis, wear it straight.

He has power, has that fine touch he showed with some drop shots I saw today and he is pretty quick from watching him.

I rate Murray up there with them his name just slipped my mind at the time of the post.

My favourite player but I reckon he is really struggling with that back injury at the minute. Far from convincing today.

That was hands down the most incredible tennis i've ever seen when he destroyed Nadal last year.

Cheers BH.

Should be an interesting game, probably depends on which Blake shows up to play.

Was just looking at the draw and Tsonga will get Murray in the 1/4 final. Let hope they both get thru.

Haha, made me laugh. :D And the mask Courier had on and got him to make the same face posed besdide it. :thumbsu: Then signed it over his nose, haha.

Foxsports interview:

Do you box?
Tsonga: Yes, want to try me out?
No, no thanks.

Tsonga played Blake towards the end of last year at Paris Masters and destroyed him. Only question mark over Tsonga at the moment is the back injury. When he's on fire he's the best player to watch.

this guy is an inspiration eh?

hes a hero! muhammad ali with a tennis racquet! i'd just love to see him triumph! hes just something else!

Yep, awesome performance tonight. Impenetrable on serve.

I reckon Gonzalez was playing better tennis 2 years ago before the final than Tsonga played last year. Very close though.

I agree. Gonzo's forehand was mind-blowingly amazing. Nearly every single point he was crunching a winner, especially that match against Haas.

IMO Tsonga's tennis was better all-round, but that forehand Gonzo has is ridiculous. You know he will win the point as soon as he runs around onto it.

And follows the right team as well...
