Seeing as this fella' is celebrating his 19th birthday today (happy birthday Joe), I figured i'd use the moment to ask you fellas what you reckon' about him. I truthfully know the slightest anyone could know about him so if theres anyone who can fill me in on a little bit about him, that'd be excellent. Thanks:thumbsu:

did a great job on Eagleton...............

Looks to be hard at it. Good pace, good skills........ a good fit & in our best 22

With Joe Anderson his best position will be on the oppositions small forwards, and as a rebounding defender.
He will make a good tagger one day as well, but his ability to go forward should not be under estimated as he can do that as well.
For those of you with Foxtel / Austar if you have yet to see the doco Buffalo Legends on NITV do so as it is a good insight into the club where Joe and his family come form. Added to this is Joes Grandad is on it talking of his WAFL days amongst other things (West Perth in 1970).
Last weekend Big Lance and Dylan McLaren played here for the Palmerston Magpies with Lance getting 3 after a quiet start, the team won by a hefty margin.

He seems to lack pace for the speedy small forwards. He was torn apart by Porplyzia i think? Not sure.

When he played on Eagleton as a tagger he did a great job.

Hope he can make big stides this year the young fella.

Is tagging Eagleton out of the game a great achievment though? You've gotta remember that the guys in his 30's
I'm in the same boat though, know nothing about the kid.

Of course its a great achievement....

Would be happier if Eaglemont beat him?

Some people look at the negatives of everything...

Joey will be a very valuable footballer... next year will be the fourth or fifth year id have watched him play...

Of course it is good for our young players to do the job on anyone, good on him. But i just don't think that tagging someone like Eaglemont would help his development too much. Probably should have got a run on a faster midfield player or forward, depending on where they want him to play in the future.
As i said before, you probably know more about him than me and i'll take your word for it.

Think Beaumont with pace.

Will always put his body on the line... he can take a nice grab... he will be able to play on taller types and smaller types. He has a great tacling technique youll notice aot of our players push someone in the back and give away free kicks when they tackle.. or like Waite pretend theyre tackling but dont...
Joey is a born defensive type.. He is HARD...

With Hadlee Armfield Browne and Anderson were suddeny going to be alot tougher....

He probably needs to be abit cleaner with his kicking but he has improved that ahell of alot since first saw him as a 15 year old.He has also imprved his reading of the game.. which in my opinion means he has an upside as hasnt plateaued.
He can rebound and move off his man to cut off attacking thrusts by the opposition.
He comes from a famous NT footbaling side so there is pedigree.. and thayre a HARD TOUGH PROUD family...
Hes a great kid and breathes lives footy...

Great pick up... im expecting a solid career.. even if its not going to be glaorous necessarily.

Thats al you can ask for from Anderson.. the rest is a bonus.. and he wouldnt surprse in giving us a bonus.

Benji is a different kettle of fish... was a highly regarded kid who can do the freaky stuff.. anbelievable pace but is he determined enough to make a career out of footy???

Again.. he is a great kid..

Joe is that small running BP that we have been missing for a long long time. Shows some dash, and will run and carry the ball out of the backline. Kicking is a little suspect, but this should be worked out of his game soon enough.

A shame that he hurt his hamstring last year, as I really think he could have played 10+ games in 2007.

So are Robert Harvey and Aker.

Yet we didn't talk down Jackson's game on Harvey and Gibbs' game on Aker when they played well. ;)
Let's not compare Harvey and Akermanis with Eagleton.
Eagleton is actually 29, (my mistake, i took a guess and thought that he was older than he is) and although i consider him a reasonably good player, i think we can all admit he is not in the class of the Harvey's and Akermanis'
