Just saw Joel Bowden being interviewed On The Coach. Was very impressed with his frankness, thought process & the way he answered questions. Don't think I heard an "um" or "yere no" once.

Whilst I'm not a Tiger supporter, I know he has been much maligned in the past. Would I be right in saying, that this year has been his best so far ?

I agree with that. I'm not a Tigers supporter either, but I thought he was really good on the TV tonight. Spoke really well.

i watched it too and his only stumble was when he said we are not allowed to kick it long and direct, he realised what he said and quickly changed it to a free man.....this tells me that the whole spud, brittain, crocker and hutchinson group are short passing posssesion idiots

Loved it when he smirked at Sheehans "take your medicine" comment. That made Mike feel a little silly.

Very polished performer is Joel. Never got flustered (I did miss the bit about the style of play though) and put his point across well.

Despite his disappointment, he did deserve a week at Coburg.

This is without question his best season for Richmond.

Since being dropped to Coburg, he has certainly been our best and most consistent player and would have to be a chance to pip Nathan Brown for the Best and Fairest.

Using the highly prestigious Big Footy Richmond Board Player of the Year Award, Bowden was only 4 votes behind Brown at the end of last week and may well pull a few of those in this week. As Browny is absent next week as well, Bowden may well find himself in the lead.

Which is amazing when you consider how tough an audience we are and how critical we have been of Bowden in the past.

I'd never made the connection before but seeing Bowden play CHB is similar to the style shown by Chad Cornes in the same role.

i just watched it then coz i was at work when he was on! He did very well and some of the stuff is true and maybe he should be put back on our leadership group since it seems he would like to have a role there

I havent heard of a program called 'On the Coach'.

Is it like On the The Couch, but the player sits on Robert Walls lap while doing the interview.
