Except early on last year when I had him captain on he scored 46 odd...wasnt too happy that week!!

Pros: Racks up cheap possessions including alot of marks and kicks. Richmond look for him in the backline. Consistent and good for 110+ most weeks.

Cons: Expensive, with Jake King developing and Jordan McMahon recruited he might lose some touches. Pre-season has been good but not great by his standards.

Verdict: Marginally behind Cornes as the best defender. If you've got the cash, trade him in.

I didn't think of that. Hmmm could upgrade Sam Fisher to him.

there shouldnt be a hell of a lot of difference between cornes or bowden either. so just hving the one should be alright and save the cash for improving elsewhere.

Thankfully Bowden is a supercoach star!

I'd take Bowden over any of the Hawthorn backmen.

Very valid point.

The first way should be how it's done anyway, 2 guns, 2 cash cows/bargains.

The Wallet said on radio recently that he plans to play Bowden in the middle more. Although his skills are pretty polished and I believe he should be played in the middle anyhow, he will become a lot more accountable from the opposition and not find as many cheap kicks. After hearing that I decided against him at that price.

No doubt he will prove me wrong of course..
