McDonald's manager, former Brissie/Dogs player Marty Pask, said the Lions had often matched him up against bigger marking forwards but was more suited to HBF using his run and being more creative. Pask seemed quite positive about Freo's interest and McDonald's willingness to move interstate.
He's actually a Queenslander so I'm not sure where the media were getting the idea he only wanted to go back to Victoria (and propogated by various douches like myself).
McDonald might find a 3-year deal with us appealing but it could depend on whether Ball/Smith go in the ND or PSD.
