Bout time some one gave this guy his dues.
His job as coach of Australia since 1999 has been nothing short of sensational.
In that time the only major series I can remember Australian losing is the 2001 Indian series and the 2005 Ashes and once we lost we were able to turn it around the next time we played.
The job he has done in moulding this team into such a strong outfit he has helped turn Australia in to such an unbeatble outfit that we make everyone else look very weak in comparision.
We have been lucky to have him as a coach the last 7 odd years and Tim Nielson will have a very hard job replacing him

He's been ok, i guess it's like trying to judge Punter as a captain, with all them superstar players.
Still he has the runs on the board so can't cop much critisism.
Lets bring home the world cup 2007!

True, but look at the intensity the team has played with- did the 16 in a row Test streak, plus won the World Cup....losing in India no shame...only blemish was the Ashes in 2005- and Buck made up for that in spades with the Green and Gold Wash of the hapless Poms....

Definitely has earned the props....

he may of had a good team but if he couldn't get them to work as a team, couldn't get the best out of them and couldn't set up a positive environment then that talent would be wasted

Buchanan is a legend! Nielson will be hard pressed to do as well as him. He has not only coached the aussie team well every team he has even been coach of he has won competitions with. Apart from the one county team.
