I'm a little unsure there CM35, Commentti is pretty good, and from memory I loved hearing EJ Witten on 3GL/K-Rock, probably the best in the game and could fire up any listener.

How good was he on The (old) Sunday Footy Show. Lol, I remember them throwing stuff and really having goes at each other. Also remember them 'scam caming' and Max Walker did this huge 'walk out' off the set. Then Sam Keckovich tried to steal his job and hopped right into his hosts seat!!!

****, thank god you mentioned that, as I thought I imagined that..... Wow that was bad. Even if you didn't know who G Ablett was, Parkin was going on and on about how great he was through the game, surely that would be a reminder???

His calling seemed like he was some rookie Adelaide located employee that they needed to call up at the last minute. But then he said "Geelong Players Name off" "Adelaide Players Name on". And I couldn't believe my ears, when did we start with mixed team interchanges????

Seriously the guy was just plain bad today. Made Clinton Grybus look like a superstar......

these guys just read whats in front of them most of the time, and try and make it sound like its coming straight off there head. If what they read is wrong they are totally stuffed. This guy casey really sounds like a clown

As far as calling the game goes, Casey isn't bad.

Foxtel actually go alright with either him or Grybas behind the mic.

My partner doesn't even barrack for Geelong and she thought the commentators were terrible. You'd think Parkin would be grateful for the huge fee the Cats no doubt paid him for the review. I know we weren't fantastic in the first half but through most of it if you listened to the commentary you would have thought we were about 45 points behind rather than about 10 for most of the half.

And just one more time could they say "Adelaide teams normally rise a notch in the last quarter if they are close". I reckon Gerard said it about 20 times and if anyone rose in the last quarter it was us.

In my opinion the commentating yesterday was appalling. John Casey wasn't terrible, made a lot of mistakes and i would rather have Clinton Grybas any day. But he wasn't the worst. Gerard Healy was awful and David Parkin is an absolute idiot. next time we play hawthorn there's no way i am gonna watch it unless its on free to air. Bring back Brayshaw, Lyon and BT.

One of em said, but Geelong got outscored in the final quarter against hawthorn. We were kicking into a 4 goal breeze and got outscored by 8 points, whoopy doo.

Agree - they were a disgrace.
If we werent making so much drunken noise ourselves, i would have been very dissapointed.......so we made our OWN commentary......far more interesting and accurate, especially the umprinig decisions.......all seemed to flow our way.....LOL.
