OMG that is gold!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

Has he been on the radio yet?

I can fill you in Gets as I did hear the interview.

Griffiin was pretty nervous at first - as he said normally he's just sitting back on the sidelines listening to the big names from the club being interviewed, and now they actually want to talk to him. :D

He said that he's a Freo boy and he did struggle with being away from home when he first came here as a rookie at the end of 2004. However he had a chat with his mum after being here about 6 months whether he wanted to be in this industry (his words :) )and decided he was going to have a real crack at it. After being here a little over two years he has settled in nicely and is really happy being here.

He has put on 15 kg after plenty of weight work in that time and plans to put on a bit more, but as he said, he's at least got enough on him now to enable him to compete against the big boys.

He said that he knew that he was 4th in line at the start of pre-season training, and while he's not happy that both Maric and Meesen have both gone down, he is really happy to have the chance to play AFL.

He said that he has been told he will be doing his fair share of rucking against Melbourne and was really looking forward to testing himself against both White and Jamar.

When asked how he felt about playing up forward, he replied that he had played a lot of his junior footy as a CHF so naturally he rather liked it up there.

He said that Centrals had been good to him, and appreciated that they gave him his 8 SANFL league games last year.

He had started an accountancy course before he came here, and he was looking at starting some new course that would equip him for life after footy.

All in all, while he's no polished public speaker, he sounds like an honest genuine young man who has his feet firmly planted on the ground and is prepared to do whatever hard work it takes to make it.

For that reason I have no doubt that he will. :thumbsu:
