love how many doubted him when he told of greatness in the group during those dark times of 2008-2010. He has proved them wrong, 3 years of rebuilding compared to some sides that never recover. Cheers Woosh

Never doubted the great man. :thumbsu:

For us to change the gameplan and have the players understanding it and implementing it so quickly is a credit to the whole coaching staff.
Apparently the gameplan has been in place the last 2 and a bit years. The players are just playing it better now.

I still think he's stubborn and slow in making certain decisions, but I'm happy to admit I was wrong.

Lets just hope our good Football continues to many seasons to come.

He has done a good job this season along with the likes of Scotty Burns and David Teague. I still disagree with some of the team selections but it's been a great turnaround by the staff and also by the players. Backline still concerns me, hopefully when MacKenzie gets back it will be sorted out.

The perfomances and team selections, we had every right to question everything about the club. Happy though to bend over the table, spread them wide and lube up.... I was wrong.

Yep the press has been in since the Hawkers won. Players are just doing it exeptionally well, Darling and Nic Nat along with a better Lynch have really helped with it, but players stepping there leadership qualities up and making sure everyone is in the right spots is the main reason our press is working so good.

I's Compare Woosh to Lynch, Last year both copped critism, both were in bad bad form and looked like this season was their last. This year after a hard working off season both are in the best form of there careers. Sumich was right after all.

Another thing that I overlooked last year and I cant remember what time this was but Woosh said the players worked 50 percent offence 50 % defence, this is really paying off now, Eagles are so hard to score againts

Couldn't believe the flak he was copping from the press and in particular a certain flog called Brad Hardie, he was trying to rebuild a side after losing 2 of the best modern midfielders and having another one (Kerr) under constant injury.

Will say it again - coaches shine the product - but you can't turn shit into chocolate.

Players need the credit first and foremost - i don't see woosha marking like lynch or tackling like scott selwood.

Just like i didn't see woosha shanking kicks like ebert or embley last year.

The one thing is clear is that he hasn't lost the players and the tight knit group we heard about is well and truly going.

Love woosha's comments at the moment - hasn't changed one iota from what he said last year when we were getting belted.

I think were seeing just how much that spoon hurt

the club as a whole deserve credit for quietly going about addressing the issues that led to our first spoon and making the necessary changes, the most significant of which appears to be a change in role for woosh

The club would have been justified sacking worsfold at the end of last year just as woosh would have been justified in cutting a few underperforming players. To everyones credit they extended the faith in those people for another year and that faith is being repaid.

It's an exciting time to be a supporter and hopefully we can continue this run of form for the remainder of the year although it is inevitable that we will have a flat spot at some stage. All teams do

Has a great belief in his players, his coaches and his gameplan and i love that. He was unrelenting all last year in his backing of all things West Coast.

I don't think his head was ever on the chopping block internally, they could probably see what he was putting together, trying to instill a gameplan that would compete against the best. Heck, we've been down 3 seasons, now prospect of finals action presents itself yet again...

Worsfold is often criticised for not making tactical calls during matches, but i don't buy that. If something isn't working he won't make a rash decision to fix it, he will back in the player to get on top of the issue, this is his biggest strength, belief in his players.

Clowns are always too quick to want a coaches head in this game! Kudos to those with the balls to admit they were wrong.

I have been and will be backing Woosh all the way!!

Already won more games then last year and we have only played 8 games.

Loving our turn around, a credit to Woosha and the players. :thumbsu:

Mate we were down the bottom for three years. I think it was fair enough for people to be calling for his head. I am certain that if he wasn't John Worsfold he wouldn't be West Coast's coach right now. That said he is and we're flying so good on him but I think its a bit rich to be saying stuff like you have in your post.

You should be ashamed of the constant negative comments you made for months over Worsfold.
I have not and will not forget how you wrote about an individual who has given more to this club than any other.
Shame Shame Shame.:thumbsd:

I'm with this guy. Some of you, sdb, gws honestly slaughtered woosher over the pre season and the past couple rather then take the more modest approach that we are just doing our time at the bottom.

Some of the attacks were cowardly and brutal and several of you guys really should be posting pretty humbly if you ask me. GWS was man enough to cop it on the chin earlier in this thread. good on him

Unlike Ken Judge, Terry Wallace, Chuckles and Dean Laidly our coach isn't and never has been the problem during the past couple of years.
