In all honesty, if you don't post a lot on other boards around BF, the SFA is a great way to meet good posters from other teams.
The SFA is NOT the same as Bay 13. It has nothing to do with AFL and so it matters not how your real team is fairing. If you have a quick wit and a flair for creative writing, the SFA is a place for you. Originality is applauded and having an ego is rewarded. You can be as active or as inactive as you like, but as with most things, the more you put in the more you get out.

Bump! Want to gauge whether there is any more interest here 
Just to dispel a few untruths;
1. No, you don't actually play football, qooty is a simulated game posted once a week on Sundays, played by the teams noted in the OP. There is a few new teams joining next season so spots are open all over the board!
2. No experience is necessary, we've had a few BF newbies start out this season who have performed in the match threads admirably.
3. The game really is all about bantering with your teammates and opposition. There are some brilliant characters both antagonistic and endearing, and everything in between.
4. As Footypie32 mentioned above, you don't need to get involved in everything, someone like alex_is_on_fire only a contributes in team and game threads and that is totally acceptable. You may only post 5-10 times per week, and again that is fine. A total of 30 minutes in a week may be all you spend on the board.
5. Along with newbies we have all time veterans on BF like thebrowndog and mobbenfuhrer (who actually created the game) and even a number of mods from other boards.
6. It's all just for fun, an taking the piss out of your opposition when you smash them on a Sunday night.

If you are interested, just confirm your interest in the sign up sticky on the front page, and you'll have 10 people clambering for your services within the day (but seriously, join the Dragons)
