I think we all agree that if Brown wants to come to Collingwood we can kiss our first round pick goodbye.

You'd think if Brown was to leave Brisbane and with Bradshaw getting on in age that brisbane would insist on Collingwood throwing in a up and coming forward like Rusling, Dawes or Reid.

Brown at Full Forward and Cloke at CHF sounds pretty potent.

let brisbane keep brown... as good as he is the question is do we really need him? i mean, sure, the guy is a proven champion footballer... but we still have anth (will make a full recovery from the sounds of things.. we also have have cloke (will be a champion and will show us why in the remainder of the season) and then we have the up and comers:
rusling - IF he gets his body right right will kick 500-800 for us in his career(IMO)
reid -once he sees a sports psychologist and get over his nerve problems WILL be very valuable to our team set up.. (hard to match up on this kid)
Dawes- true power forward (from what i have heard) and heir apparent to rocca..
mccafffer - 15 goals in 3 games? uknown quantity.. stats seem good.. but i dont know enuf about the kid yet...
basically,as far it goes with forwards i think the recruiters have put in a more than adequate succession plan of forward line players... i think we should trust them in this area... but if they were definately positve a big forward would win us a flag, well, they should opt for fevola.. wont take up as much salary cap room and kicks lots of goals and has done so so his whole career ( dont get me wrong i hate this bloke, but as a player his ability is undeniable)...
finally, stuff chasing the forwards, lets get benny over.. figure out a way to get a kerr or some other GUN young tuff in an under player... i think our forward stocks are fine.. remember we just lost to second best team in the AFL by 10 points- with 1 fit player on the bench and without our 2 no.1 bigmen on the ground...the future is bright at magpie land.

yes... and that would prove the point that anthony rocca is the most underated forward in the league and the most maligned...

we are a 4 goal better side with rocca in the team.. he is vital in terms of structure.. people love bagging him because they dont have him.. sure he isnt j. brown.. but if anth was in their 3 peat team im sure peoples endorsements regarding rocca would be glowing... but as he is a COLLINGWOOD player he gets bagged... but hey its my opinon.. anth has been nothing but great for our club.. and will be a sad day when takes up punting..

What would they do with them at Lions HQ? Geez, they'd need a lot of room to store 'em given that we're all Magpie supporters. They're what give us our deep, resonant tone when barracking. ;-)
