Meek was getting hyped up by the media since the start of the season as one of the best rucks, and Sweet had him easily beat. The only way he got both goals was off the back of some BS frees.

Maybe the coaching group need to pump up his tyres, apparently he's not big on self belief.

True but he'll get there with a bit of self belief. He won the tpas again. As for frees, most of them a soft and could easily go the other way if there was some fainess in the umpiring.

It’s great we have options after the Lycett, Teakle, Hayes, and Ladhams years, but there’s no way people seriously want Sweet dropped after one game, when he’s been good all year. What happens when Dante doesn’t have a perfect game at AFL level?

Giving free kicks away in ruck is frustrating. Giving them away when the opposition have their makeshift fwd/ruck on the ball is inexcusable

Sweet started the year well but he has dropped away in recent weeks. The stats tell us he gets the hit outs but he has practically no aerial skills at all and he has managed just 2 marks in his last 3 games. He drops too many marks that he really ought to swallow. Today Sweet won the hit outs over Grundy 39-32 which is good but in field play Grundy had 26 possessions to Sweet's 9.

First and foremost a ruck man has to win his share of the hit outs but he also has to have some ability around the ground and that is missing from Sweet's game atm.
