He needs to work on his handballing, it was horrible last night and led to a good many missed opportunities.

His disposal by both hand and foot was off last night I thought.

I think the skill level of the whole team was extremely poor yesterday. Couldn't execute simple kicks/passes/marks.

He did show a turn of pace last night that I wasn't expecting when he was closing down on Charlie Cameron chasing him on the wing

Yeah, he's got a yard doesn't he? Not sure I've ever seen him sprint 100m like that, and only pulled up because he got shepherded. He's got agility to burn - if he can start using some line-breaking speed downhill he could get even better!

In a pretty disastrous season he's been a good brightspot

Yep the good thing about this year is that Daicos, Quaynor, Noble have all come on massively this year and entrenched themselves in our best 22. Would've loved to have seen Sier and Kelly develop further if it wasn't for their injuries also.

If we can sneak into finals (and who knows that happens there) whilst transitioning from the old guard in Mayne /Varcoe /Reid /Greenwood, then it's not a lost season in the context of how much disruption there has been this year.

Yeah, and given the maintained excellence of older players like Pendlebury and Howe, I think if we have a clean bill of health (whether this year or next) we can make some noise

He kicked directly to the opposition multiple times.

Has credits in the bank due to how many solid performances he has put in this year, but yeah, he had a bit of a stinker.

I've heard opposition supporters (including a Fitzroy bloke who hated us) say the same. Carman was potentially the GOAT.

Problem he had White Line Fever

Kink yes but I wouldn't include Carmen in that conversation. Temperament is what he lacked, but talent alone did pretty much work for him.
Carman wasn't talent alone though. He was the fittest hardest worker around.

I know that and should have acknowledged it. He was renowned for his dedication to maintaining his body in prime condition. Shame he didn't do the same with his temperament.

Agree, but on talent alone remains in the top 3 I've ever seen in a Pies jumper along with Greening and Daicos.

Yeah, he had an iffy game. One of the rare ones. I don't hold it against him. Happened to a lot of our players that game.

Probably a sign of how the team preformed that I still had him just outside the votes in the Didaka.

On talent alone I dare to say he had EVERYONE covered but regretabbly his playing career resembled my love life at the time - full of promise and expectation, but aside from the odd moment of joy, rarely delivered the goods.

Becoming more consistent and showing us some of his tricks, definitely best 22.
Yes he is. Which is amazing given 12 months ago you wouldn't say the same thing. Has improved so much.
