I thought Fraser rose to the occasion and put in a real captain's performance tonight. Perhaps having him start on the bench was a foot up the backside. When the game was fading from us Fraser really stepped up in the second half with his work around the ground. Hard running, marking and getting down on the ground for the footy.

Tonight was also the best display of ruck work that I can remember from him. Some of his taps were fantastic and you could definitely feel the momentum swing a bit towards Richmond whenever Fraser was rested in the second half.

I now believe that he is more than capable of being our next captain.

A Captains Game?

I'm not sure whether you guys were at the game or watched it on Channel 7. Fraser was pathetic in the first half, but to his credit did improve in the second half, but his overall performance was good at best.

I'll cop that he might've had a niggle or two going into the match, but his chasing was crap, second efforts non existant his overhead marking in general is very ordinary, he goes to ground far too easily and too often.

Scott Burns made him look good last night.

It was definately an improvement and we should expect bigger and better things from our number one ruckman.

GO PIES

I agree with what you've said. But thats not Josh Fraser from last year you would have to think he's been platying with niggling injuries the last two weeks at least....sure you can have a bad form patch but thats not what hes going through. He didn't chase, he made one effort at a clearance, dropped marks and in the first half his rucking was ordinary. In the second half he did improve greatly...but didn't everyone?

I too wouldnt go s far to say it was a captains game either, but after half time, he did imporve a lot.

I watched him walk out of the change rooms last week and he could barely walk. I was actually expecting him not to pull up for last night. But he did and I give him credit for his second half. He was quite good. I think he has a bit to learn in reagrds to leading the side full time!! But it will get there I'm sure.

How can u say his first half was no good when he started on the bench played about 8 minuts of the 1st quarter and 15 of the second. He had about 7 touches and some good hitouts. Then he was dominent in the 2nd half around the stoppages ended up with 18 touches and played 59 % of the game.

I loved who Josh Was The Last One with the Ball when the Siren Went

Does he know how to keep his feet, he goes to his knees more often than Anthony Callea at a sausage factory,

Josh will be ok, he still hasn't filled out. It took Luke Darcy years.

He was my dream team captain on the weekend so i was dissapointed i his numbers
