Josh Fraser's 200th?

The only stat where Roger beats Fraser is tap outs. The way the game is played today, I don't think it's that significant. The way I see it, we've got two quality ruckmen. They might have 4 years each left in them. I think we should hang on to both of them for the forseeable future so the issue of Josh's 200 isn't as pressing as when I thought this might be his last year. Wood has a bit of work to do and might not even get to where he needs to. I see LeRoy as a versatile big more than a full time ruckman. Even if Wood measures up we still need to keep an eye out for a second good young ruckman.

It wouldn't hurt to get Josh's 200 out of the way especially now that LeRoy is out. He fits into that LeRoy/Roger structure anyway.

Josh is our best option for ruck work should anything disastrous happen to Roger. As a Plan B ruckman, he's perfect.

Fraser has consistently been in the best at VFL level, he deserves a game.

I think we are getting a little bit ahead of ourselves re Dawes and L.Brown.

Dawes has only kicked 6 goals from the last 6 games......pretty poor return from our FF in a period where we aint lost. Even Kosi, who is widely criticised has had a much better return in the last 6 games.

Dawes really needs to pull out a solid game sooner rather than later.

L.Brown has been good this year, a huge turnaround that highlights just how quickly perceptions and ratings of players can change. But what happens if he puts in a stinker in the QF.....does he automatically get another game even if Josh keeps kicking 5 in the VFL??

Fraser kicking goals and pushing for selection is great for us.....hopefully he kicks a few, takes a few good marks and creates some selection headaches for the finals

Leigh Brown's gone, bring in Fraser for this week, he has earnt it undoubtedly. 5 goals last week and didn't he get 30 odd touches the week before? Give him a go, nothing bad can come from him playing this week.

In: Fraser, Medhurst, Reid
Out: Brown, Anthony, Sidebottom (He needs a rest)

Fraser should get a game to bring him up to AFL speed, now that Leroy is out,but should only be used if there is an injury or suspension during the finals. What he lacks and is essential in finals is physical presence [read mongrel] and strength. All of Brown,Dawes,Cloke and Jolly have strength and one or two of them have a bit more "presence".Fraser does not and thats why he is not in our best 22.:footy:

Fraser form has warranted a game, his form has not been bad in the VFL and the 5 goals in the last game and the way he lead for the ball shows he is fit.

Also we need as many as possible AFL match ready, we have done well not getting any major injury to our main senior players but anything can happen
