I was pissing myself laughing today when he picked up those Melbourne blokes on his shoulders. :D:thumbsu:

Josh is a beast, twice he effortlessly lifted 2 guys. I love it how he he had a guy over his shoulders and still kicked it to a teammate. :D :D

I don't know what was funnier, the fact Hunt picked him up, or the fact the Melbourne player disputed the free kick Hunt was given for a high tackle.

I can't believe Hunt got pinged for the earlier one against softy Miller.Miller had his arm wrapped around Hunt's neck, yet Hunt got pinged because he dumped Miller.

He also pounded some melbourne player with one of the hardest tackles i have seen in ages.

...and how many AFL games have you played you skinny flabby freak!
Just because I haven't played football at the highest level doesn't mean I can't criticise players, it would be like telling someone they can't criticise AFL umpires because they haven't umpired at the highest level

In what way does he play like Jane?

Oh and by the way, that line stops being funny after about the tenth time it's trotted out.
I'm not claiming to have been the first to have said it, It's an old saying that rings true with Hunt, Lets face it the guy is a soft player, he jumps at shadows, imagine if he could play with the same endeavour as a Rooke or even Prismall, He would have opposition players $hitting themselves.

Just because he plays with Geelong, should not put him above criticism, Just ask Shannon Byrnes

Couldn't believe that either. From what I could see all Hunt did wrong was to stand up. He can't help it if someones attached to him at the time.

How can you be skinny and flabby ?

Pfftt.. Come on Jub.. I'm disappointed in you..

Id say a large majority of people in our society fit this category.. Those people who were once fairly skinny but have never stepped into a gym because they are so friggin lazy who get flabby ie. sizeable gut, double chin etc without becoming really noticeably fat.. They are weak, skinny people covered in a layer of flab.. :)

I'm not a Hunt fan but I thought he was good yesterday.
In a game reminiscent of the one we flopped in last Year - Rnd 2 at home, I think, where so many players were "off" and clearly playing below their ability, Hunt stood out as a fair, hard contributor yesterday. You might be confused by the umpiring re Hunt but I though the standard of umpiring in the second half was a disgrace.

Hunt also layed a real mean tackle on a Demon player, can't recall who it was but he struggled getting up from it... right in front of the Melbourne cheer squad.

Hopefully he is starting to realise how much of a blessing his size / strength is and how advantageous it can be in AFL football. He could really do some damage if he wanted to...

Not suggesting for a moment he's above criticism, but there has to be some foundation to it though.

He's as hard at it as anyone in most situations IMO; now if you said he's suspect when the pills in the air and he has to stand under a pack then I'd agree with you, but in any other situation he's far from soft, just the opposite actually.

His bump on Motlop in Adelaide last year was terrific, I'd love to see a bit more physicality in his game. I think he's doing more now than he used to.

FACT: All players pull out of a contest at some stage in their careers. They will all admit to that.

FACT: Hunt did it(against StKilda '06 I think) and for a reason I still can't work out it got plastered all over the papers, footy shows etc, etc. I see blokes pulling out of contests every week. Hunt got crucified for some reason, no one knows.

FACT: The average idiot gains 99% of their football knowledge from what they hear, read via the media. People think that if the media blew it up then it had to be huge.

FACT: There are a lot of idiots in the world. :o

Hunt isn't the hardest guy in the team but he isn't the softest either. Unfortunately for him, he'll have to wear the tag of being 'soft' for the remainder of his career thanks to media influence after 1 incident. It would be nice if fans had insight enough to watch the game a little closer and work it out for themselves rather than needing to be fed by media wannabe professionals like Carolyn Wilson. :thumbsd:
