Ie. Gibbs. Poor comparison but still...I don't know if I would be trusting carlton in that scenario.

Marchbank chose Carlton because that is where he was going to get a game.

Yes. Okay let me set my thoughts against information I have been told in relation to josh kelly. Josh does wish to return to victoria but he has only spoken to north and is only interested in playing for north. Forget about all the carlton and stkilda talk. He has not spoken to either of these clubs and he won't be speaking to either of these clubs. If josh nominates then it will only be north. North no longer have any psd leverage. GWS have already aired their dissatisfaction with trading with north, are understandably miffed at the thought of losing one of the absolute best young players in the competition, and will drive a very hard bargain at north. Matthews and co will catch on that josh is only interested in north and may drive a bargain so hard that north won't come to the party and they can force josh to re-sign for another two years, rather than end up at brisbane, gold coast or carlton.
My take is that josh would rather stay for two more years at GWS if a trade can't get done with north, and I think GWS will clue on to this and force its outcome. If a trade can get done then north may now have to part with the 2017 and 2018 1st round picks, or do a trade and pick swap with brisbane, which is actually feasible.
So why didnt North just tank yesterday if Josh had already told them he wants them? Makes it pretty simple to pick up a gun for bugger all over the sake of 1 pointless game.
Yeah but i haven't seen a spoon yet in 40 yrs so I'm cool with that. As for Kelly he will go where he decides regardless. So why didnt North just tank yesterday if Josh had already told them he wants them? Makes it pretty simple to pick up a gun for bugger all over the sake of 1 pointless game.
We don't compromise our club culture for anything. No north side has ever set out to lose a match.
Do you think brisbane set out to lose?

Cool words bit they mean little. Did your coach shopping himself to other clubs last year also compromise your clubs culture? Did giving Boomer the arse do the same?
Were you were a stkilda supporter in a previous life? Not sure anybody really cares about this stuff, premierships are what counts.

You asked the question. Not sure anybody really cares about this stuff, premierships are what counts.
You asked the question.
I answered your question already as did someone else. You wouldn't know club culture if it hit you in the face but continue your trolling if you feel like it.Would you take a wooden sppon if it meant getting Kelly at a bargain price? That was the question but apparently the club culture is too strong. I dont see much of a difference between 15th and 18th if its gets you back into the 8 a few years quicker.
What does any of this have to do with josh kelly? We didn't tank. We don't tank. Period.
Returning to the topic some are proposing a pick 4 and goldstein trade.
I wouldn't even waste your time. Guy has no idea about football or professional sport and their environments. We don't compromise our club culture for anything. No north side has ever set out to lose a match.

Marchbank barracked for North prior to his drafting. Can't have been too strong a family link to CarltonFamily link, his grandfather or something like that played there.

YepWhy the hell would GWS want Goldstein? He is past it. Will cost way too much in terms of salary which is seemingly a problem for the Giants already.
He actually decreases the value of that trade. Your first and second should do it if he nominates you.
Yep
Pick 4 and North's 2018 1st.
Similar deal as Treloar. Kelly is that little bit better.
I've thought this a bit and I dont think it works for us. I dont write off Goldstein and do get he has value. We have sadly lost Tom Downie who started the year as our number two ruck. Dawson Simpson has come on this year though and now looks like a great backup pushing Mummy for his spot. Rory Lobb is doing doing great work as 2nd ruck/forward and we have Matt Flynn developing. What does any of this have to do with josh kelly? We didn't tank. We don't tank. Period.

Think you may have to look elsewhere for a club who needs a mature ruck. I would have thought he could have a couple of good years with the Bulldogs mids.
