No one wants to go to Carlton. North have 25 fit players left and if they win today they could still finish above Carlton. Kelly would prefer to go to a team that wants to win, not a team that wants to collect draft picks and plays defensive to limit the damage.

Marchbank went to Carlton because GWS were happy to let you overpay for their scraps again.

I agree with this. The magpies have their backline quota covered already and shed a good player in marley williams to get games in to scharenberg, ramsay, maynard, schade and langdon. Marchbank would not have been a priority and he was a walk up starter at carlton.
