Congrats Josh. Love the guy. Deserves every success that comes his way. The equal of any young key forward in the game, Jack Riewoldt included.

This trade is the classic example of having to give quality to get quality. We knew he'd be capable of this when we made the trade but it was a trade that just had to be made. We got a Brownlow medalist out of the trade - they have a young champion forward. Good work by both clubs to make a great trade that is proving to be excellent for both teams. If both teams can continue to recruit well both teams should walk away with premierships with both players. Neither could ask for anything more and both have every reason to be rapt.

JK is flourishing into a wonderful footballer and I, along with most Carlton supporters, couldn't be happier for him.

Judd was always coming back to Victoria. No one can seriously claim that Kennedy was worth more to Carlton than Judd. Josh Kennedy was traded so we wouldn't have to give up Matthew Kreuzer who is a better footballer. Eagles are still behind after they drafted Masten and Notte.

From a different stance... Great recruiting by the Blues to get this bloke in to begin with.

We saw his potential, and so did the others at trade time, so by grabbing him, keeping him or not, we have been able to bring our club to where it is now.

Pick 4 isn't a certainty so well done WH.

Without Judd we would be in the same position as Melbourne, a bunch of promising kids wih no consistantcy. His presence has fast forwarded the development of our team, and without him we would be beginning to peak right around the time the GC17/GWS juggernaughts will start coming into their own.


Sure getting rid of Fev in the trade would have been a prefered option, but iirc the Eagles wern't interested in Fev as they were starting to begin a rebuilding of their list, thus wanted young players/picks.

Kennedy is a seriously good player, but for people to compare him to Chris Judd is quite hilarious.

Yup, Judd was the catalyst for our rise, and Kennedy may have continued to flounder if he stayed.

We will still be hearing about this after Judd retires and Kennedy will have longer in the game.

When Judd has a pearler, there is always some neutral who will mention that JK is good but West Coast got ripped off. Memories of goldfish some people.
