Was dogged by injuries in his first few years at the club and could have easily given up the dream of playing at the top level. But he obviously worked his arse off and is now reaping the rewards. Still has his weaknesses but we have to realise he's only played 8 games at the top level and still has significant improvement. Think he and the club deserve credit for being persistent over the tough times :)

Getting in on the action when in the middle and his efforts up forward are really pleasing (which is where he'll play a significant amount of his football when Beams and Ball are back). Would have had close to 10 shots on goal the last 3 weeks.

improving, still needs to work on his kicking, so important for his career going forward

Was in our top 5 tonight easily, very happy with how Josh has played so far - living up to the potential he had when drafted (at an absolute steal may I add) I'd really like him to keep his spot as a permanent best 22 even when we are full strength.

At the moment he's clearly in our best side, and that alone is an achievement for a player who has played so few senior games, and had the setbacks he had.

He always had the talent, just needed some luck and finally he's getting it.

You can see he's starting to back himself too, becoming more confident with every good game he produces.

JT is here to stay hopefully.:)

Very early days, most likely not going to be as good and touch wood on the injuries, but JT looks to be taking the Dayne Beams route.

Clearly plays his best football in the middle, but on account of a strong midfield will bide his time on a HFF (where he still looks comfortable) before being unleashed when Ball and Swan move on.

When you focus on the percentage it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. I'd swap a break out game for a lacklustre 2nd half, particularly when the game is won and percentage has no bearing on the outcome of the season. Perhaps there is more to be worried about, but I'll leave that till I've had a chance to see the replay.

Starting to live up to that hype his getting better and better

I'd be surprised if he doesn't keep his spot for the remainder of the season

The continued development of Josh Thomas primarily without Luke Ball and Dayne Beams in the same team is a bonus. He would be ideally suited when both these champs return to the side to be tried as a run-with shut down player in the midfield. Can tackle, good inside scrimmage type who can also find the footy in heavy traffic.

Just happy to see him playing consistent games in the 1s.

He may not make it long term, but there's heaps of satisfaction for those of us who saw something in him playing VFL, then had to put up with condescending comments from people deriding him, and those of us who had seen him play and thought he had talent. He's shoving it up people who called for his delisting and suggested he had "no chance" of playing AFL. Seedsman in the same boat.

Was very good tonight, but as well his inside work I was impressed by his run and carry, he burst away from the stoppage a couple of times with good speed. It's something he hasn't been credited with and I hadn't seen in past games. :thumbsu:

Massive fan, I think he is best 22 and should have played against the Swans. Beams, Ball and Thomas are all hard nut players who are really good at clearance work and this is the area where Hawthorn and Sydney kill us in.

Really rapt that he has strung a few months of senior footy and shown the club they were right for the amount of faith we showed in him. On ya Josh!

Seedsman has proven nothing

Really really hope things go right for him.

If beams can come back and Thomas can retain his spot on form we are going to be formidable.

Throw in a miracle return from Daisy and we might dare to dream ;)

Surprised by how fast he is, if he improves his kicking and decision making will become a very good player

I'm loving his development. He may struggle to retain his spot when Beams and Ball return, but there is a lot to work with here.

I agree that he needs a bit of polish...but lets just remember he has spent the last 3 years injured and barely playing any footy.

It is going to take him a while to get his skills up to scratch and also his engine will get a whole lot better. He is already running out games pretty well...but can work much harder defensively and needs to lay more tackles. That will come with a bigger engine.

He is a very natural reader of the ball off the ruckmans hand, and has a nice turn of speed from a stoppage.

Just needs to keep working on his skills...but I think they will become quite good once he gets a few more games into him. One more pre-season could be massive for him. I applaud Bucks for giving him the chance this year.
