And Carlton's Steven Browne will contest the charge laid against him for the hit that left Adelaide's Jason Porplyzia concussed at Telstra Dome on Saturday.
http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/ne...owne-suspension/2008/08/04/1217701951161.html

Porplyzia collided with Andrew Walker before rebounding into Browne and appearing to make contact with Browne's shoulder before hitting the ground with some force. Porplyzia needed considerable medical attention on the field.
Come on, these people get paid pretty well for writing these articles....you think they might put just a little bit of research into them

lol well did you read the other article where they said that Carlton have suspended R Shaw, H Shaw, and Didak for the incident on Sunday lol

I swear to God, the ****wit feels that the smallest indiscretion should be made to look like the Manson Family Variety Hour otherwise no-one will takenotice of him bleating about it. Christ, what a holier than thou loser this bloke is. To hear him this morning waffling on that this player must be sacked and that person must be removed. What a drama queen. No perspective whatsoever. Excellent indication of a ratshit journo is their penchant for sensationalizing every single incident they cover. The dreaded fear of being ignored. Well guess what shit-for-brains?

Safe to assume virtually all footy journo's have no idea about the game. I doubt many are even interested, and plenty are pure tabloid journo's assigned to covering the AFL e.g. Caro and Hutchy. I remember a report a year or 2 ago, when one journo wrote a recently retired and no longer playing player as one of the best players on ground. Doubt many of them watch the games they write up. Their fabrications are good for a laugh or 2 though. :)

I think when journalists become "media personalities" like Caro and Hutchy effectively have the integrity in their writing kinda goes out the window.

You know that if nothing happens on any given weekend, Caro will write a "Richmond in crisis" article referencing Kevin Bartlett, Danny Frawley and Greg Tivendale, and Hutchy will deliver one of the following bombshells on The Footy Show:

- (player from non-Victorian club) wants to come home!
- (player without a signed contract for next year) refuses to sign!
- (official you have never heard of, whose job you don't understand and whose influence on football is minor at best) is leaving their club!
and if all else fails:
- (known ratbag player) was out late/drank alcohol/broke up with his girlfriend/did something else that nobody would know or care about.

I like journalists who write about football, even if I disagree with their opinions.
