He is starting to get his timing right in marking contests dudes. It aint at the optimum yet, but he got into positions that had the FB completely ****ed a few times on Sunday.
All full backs need to beware now!!!

Playing in a good team is only going to help too.
Heh, just ask this bloke...

Playing well. Keep in mind though that he kicked 8 and 5 against the Saints and Doggies last year too. 4 and 0 in his two Carlton games. Next three weeks will be a big test for him against Reid, McPharlin and Taylor. If he's still leading the Coleman after round 6, put the house on him.

Thought he just benefited from the weight of i50s last week, Morris largely had his measure.

Looks way fitter than last year, limped through the season. Had a poor year by his and his coaches standards. Still kicked 60+ goals in an average team and kicked more than many other forwards that had by all comments great years at good clubs. The most underrated player in the comp by the footy community.

Just as well he goes into these games with his swagger and confidence up - when he is on, he's almost unplayable.

He seems to be moving well and fit again after playing with so many niggles last year.

Regardless of his performances though, with McGuane playing quite well and Vickery (while a bit quieter the last few weeks) should get better with more games. Happy for Jack to go goalless if it means, King, Edwards, Vickery, McGuane, Knights and the midfield can all kick a few between them.

what i like most is he's doing the team thing, doing cheeky half arsed runs to drag players away and running up the ground to apply pressure etc.

especially liked what he did vs. carlton, despite kicking 4 behinds.

sadly, even with his new role he'll still be 'sooky' and 'selfish'

hopefully everyone ends up liking him. everybody despised richo for years but ended up liking him.

I do understand the point you're making, but words like 'everybody' and 'despised' are really way over the top, IMO.

People have certainly mocked Richo's clangers on many an occasion, or taken issue with his body language/verbal on-field presence, but 'despised him?'

Never even close in my memory.

Spot on about the timing, Coggafornia, Jack looks much more right with his body this year, hopefully he can stay that way for the whole season. :thumbsu:

it's hyperbole, you know what i mean, mate.

I dunno - there was certainly a brief period there around 2002-4 that I was kind of over Richo and his antics thought he should be traded.

heard many tiges' supporters say the same thing back in the day

i remember before one of our games they had exclusive news that richo might be traded to fremantle.

i'm pretty sure we won that game, but i still cried before i went to sleep :p

Richo despised not amongst Richmond people I dont think so.
Richo was Richo I can remember waiting for him after our games, my son as did most kids loved him.He was always available to them, sure we would get angry but he played with a passion he wanted more than anything to win. Some players can hide their emotions Richo couldnt he wanted the win to much.I can remember sitting watching games thinking hell if that was me I would be livid the way the ball would come into the 50.
Jack is the same he cant hide it...I know its a bad look but no one loves the club more than Jack......Just sayin
