This bloke is clearly not up to the big wraps he received at West Coast, and all the opposition supporters were spot on when they said his groin was troubling him.

His kicking lacks penetration, (only kicked that goal on the run because it was an unguarded goal); he's having real trouble breaking free of the midfield traffic, and his contested marking is just terrible.

To add to all that, he's getting cheap possies around the ground, and not using it well.

Worse still, we are clearly lacking a centre-half forward, and we traded Kennedy for Judd, who's been carving up the WAFL.

Sure Judd might look good, but he certainly hasn't fooled me. And captain?! Nick Stevens has worked so hard for the job and has been robbed by this gold-digger! Unbelievable...

To sum up: IF THIS BLOKE DOESN'T GET 3 BROWNLOW VOTES, I DEMAND A ROYAL COMMISSION. GO JUDDY!!!! :D

I can't take the binoculars off him. The pre-match warm-up, the run-through, the practise centre-square set plays, the toss, the lot. I'm fascinated by the bloke. Don't think I've ever had the opportunity to observe a real "freak" at Carlton before. And he does it all so coolly and calmly, a true champion. Still can't believe we have him and he's played a hasndful of games already. It's just a joy, a privilege to watch this bloke as he adds another level to my enjoyment of the best game in the world.

Don't know about you but Greg Williams and Kouta (for a couple of years) were definitely what i'd call 'freaks'. ;)

Like Blue Dawn did i must throw Kouta in there, those couple years before Matty Knights jumped on his knee were amazing. Having said that i'm right with you, absolutely loved watching him sing the song last week. He was throwing water around and loving it, great to see him loving the club as much as us fans love him! That goal from 60 on the run and his side step of James Macdonald were just something to behold, oh how sweet the next 10 or so seasons are going to be. Your last sentence sums it up absolutely perfectly:thumbsu:

Fadprick is envious he doesn't have the natural abilities of Lord Judd, that he has to write rubbish like his bumchum Andrew Dolt, both of whom can write barely past year 11 English!

For someone who seems to have an injury he seems pretty mobile to me! Is able to leap tall building with a single bound meant to represent full recovery?
 
I remember reading so many posts on BF stating that Judd was only the footballer he was at West Coast because of Kerr, Cox etc.

On Sunday the above notion proved how far fetched it was. When the game was in the balance Judd was superb. Over in the west both Kerr and Cox had no influence.

Don't get me wrong both Kerr and Cox are guns but people who said the Judd wont be the same player at Carlton than he was at West Coast because he does not have players like Cox tapping the ball down to him or Kerr feeing him the ball or even likes of Rosa and Stengline blocking for him were proven wrong.

The bloke is a star and on Sunday just proved he can do it without Kerr, Cox etc.

Exactly right. Mind you, I reckon a lot of that argument stems from people not wanting to accept just how good a player Judd is. It's amazing to think how far his reputation in regards to his onfield ability has fallen in the space of a year.

I must admit, I've always felt that Ben Cousins was the number one midfielder in the competition, just for his ability to stand up when his team needed him and get vital touches when the match was in the balance. With Cousins gone, Chris Judd takes that mantra. :)

When he was at West Coast he was universally loved but since he has moved to Carlton for some reason people's thoughts changed saying he is overrated. Jealousy is curse and its great to see him back to his near best. Its frightening to see how good he is going to be when he is up and running at 100%.

Totally agree with your comments about Cousins. One game sticks in my memory that typifies Cousins. It was against Geelong at shell stadium when he carried West Coast when they were down by 9 goals and got up and won. One of the great individual performances i had ever seen.

It was a great performance and he seems to be getting 10% better every week. Just gotta remember that it was against Melbourne and hope that he can reproduce it week in week out for us.
 
It wasn't the stats or anything that was so exciting about Judd's game yesterday. It was the run-and-bomb goal from the centre square (his longest kick of the year by 20 metres) and the shimmy-baulk 1-2 in the last quarter.

Those are two things he's not physically been able to do up until this weekend, and it's bloody thrilling that he's showing those Judd trademark moves.

He'll have good games and less good games, but the signs are there that Judd is approaching full power - something plenty of us were unsure he would ever reach again.

He would been the same no matter where he would have gone
with out judd we would have lost simple as that end of Story.

He would probably be leading the league in clearances if not he would be in the top 2 or 3.
And u say he's not using it well. Have we been watching the same player? bald guy, wears number 5 for the blues!
