Hey - People decided last year that Hodge had finally taken over from Judd, and that he was better. As recently as pre-season, and even into the early rounds, people continued this claim, before being struck in the face with the sheer brilliance of Chris Judd.

The fact is, the question is not as dumb as many here are pointing out, because inexplicably last year people were split 50-50 on this question.

I think Hodge is more valuable to Hawthorn then Judd is to West Coast. Seeing as how the Eagles have all that midfield talent already. I could just see a Jonathon Brown type player suiting the Eagles more then Judd. Judd still a champ anyway!

Where Judd has speed and quick reflexes Hodge has brains, he runs the engine room and Hawthorn need that we need some leadership and football smarts on the ground to try and make up for the lack of such in the coaches box and the actual captain.

Have a look at the body types of Judd and Hodge, they are poles apart, Judd has so much more strength. Hodge is more like a Hird build and player and if he turns out half as good as Hird then I would be happy.

Having said all that to try and defend Hodgey, Judd is better.

That's more a refelction on the shallowness of Hawthron's list than it is on either of the players mentioned.
