jumper for fans

I have noticed that there are a few times around the world from various sports that have registered their fans as a member of their squad. Reading was the first team in the EPL to do so when they gave their number 13 jumper to the fans. i think 12 would have been a better number as they say when the crowd gets behind you its like having an extra man on the pitch.

personally, i think its a little stupid but i guess that its nice of them to show recognize their fans as an integral part of their team.

what do you guys think of the idea, would you like to see something like this in the afl?

Most fan wear there carlton jumpers to games anyway, and its good to see little kids with lesser known players numbers on the back of there jumpers, as well im sure it gives that player a real buzz when a young kid has his number on. If everyone wore one number it just wouldnt be the same.
