I am thinking of changing my ISP from Telstra to another carrier and was wondering if I could still keep my bigpond e-mail address.

Can someone help me ???

Thanks

You might just be able to. I vaguely recall when I cancelled my bigpond account about a year and a half ago, Telstra offered to keep the email account going for me, even though they weren't my ISP. I turned it down though as I had never used them for email.

You might still receive email through them anyway. Other ISP's that I stopped subscribing to over three years ago still hold mail for me which I collect, although I can't send through them I can still receive.

Nope! The best you can do is keep the a/c open for a couple of months and ask them to forward email to a new email address. Once you are certain that everyone you know has your new details then close the Telstra account.
