Sharon Osbourne, the high profile wife of Ozzy Osbourne and star of the hit reality TV show The Osbournes has been diagnosed with cancer.

According to her publicist Lisa Vega "Sharon has been diagnosed with a treatable form of cancer. Mrs. Osbourne will undergo surgery tomorrow (July 3rd) and is expected to make a full recovery. She has the loving support of her husband and three children who are by her side at this time".

The sudden announcement has effected the start of Ozzfest in the USA. Ozzfest was due to begin at Bristow, VA on Saturday but the Bristow show and the Pittsburgh show the next day have been postponed. The shows will be rescheduled with an announcement due soon.

Cancer is a shocking thing, it is the disease I am most frightened of.

On the upside at least it is treatable, many people don't have such positive news when diagnosed with it.

I'm guessing suzi has never seen a relative die from such a horrible disease, if she had she may not be so callous. Remember suzi, there is a thing called karma, I wouldn't laugh at someone elses misfortune if I were you.

How anyone can say who cares, when another person has cancer is beyond me. My mum has just recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour (a great welcome home present) and is in the early stages of treatment, millions of cat scans and tests to see if they can operate, cause its on the right back lobe, and its not only horrible for the person themselves, but for all their family.

People can certainly be moronic.
My thoughts go out to Sharon and her family.
