Just over 1000

I think we're closer than 1,000 - the number hasn't moved since Monday - which would have been fridays close. We were averaging 50-60 a day last week - two wins in a row we should have done better than that this week, plus Sat home game purchases and the win - might not see the change until they announce the 50 early next week:thumbsu:

There were a few lines at the Memberships booth on Saturday. I would have thought another 150 in the course of that day, easy.

I wonder what Member 50,000 wins.

Whats the point in a 3 game membership?

  1. Allows entry to the 3 home games at docklands for MCC members.
  2. Handy for people who work weekends (eg. hospitality) but can arrange occasional time off
  3. Rural/interstate/international members.
  4. Supports the club financially while still getting some value for money rather than a straight out donation.
  5. Some people have serious commitments that can't just be brushed aside of half a day every week, but maybe a few times a year.

Can someone please clarify are 3 Game Memberships counted twords this total?

Yes, 3 game are included in the official members numbers for all clubs. Non match access memberships are not included in the official numbers and in the past Richmond (and Essendon) have included these in their tallies and after the AFL audit have had their numbers slashed. Last year Richmond's official total was just over 40,000. From what i gather these have been included again this year and it is likely there will be about 7,000 members that will not be included. All teams have these types of memberships but dont include them in their figures.

A member is a member, the number the AFL strips out is purely for calculation of finals ticket allocations.

As i said in my last paragraph, all teams have non match access members but do not include these in their tallies. Finals ticket allocations are based on adult memberships when they determine how many each team is entitled to. Just dont be surprised when the official totals are somewhat different.

Yeah a few clubs do it. Essendon does it aswell.

Our goal is 50k members, no matter if the afl counts them or not.
