love it. One mod gets bored with a topic, and thinks it's his right to then deny the greater BF community the chance to discuss it.

I just don't get it.

Even more so given that that thread was created to keep that kind of discussion from other threads.

Borgsta, what gives? I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, but right now it's looking like a really arrogant, short-sighted decision made with no other considerations in mind other than your own.

I get this reply back from Borgsta(the great mod of this board):

I visit the board daily because I have to keep opening up reported posts from that very thread.

I can open it and start infracting everyone in it 2-3 times a day or I can close it.

Then he gives me a yellow card.

What a great mod we have to run this board because he doesn't want something that we all want.

Congratulations Borgsta, you have ruined the fun of this thread. A lot of people agree with me.

That thread was getting beyond a joke. Every 3rd post had some kind of abuse in it and really I was tired of getting an email every day asking me to remove posts. The person asking would the reply to that post abusing the other person.

I wasn't getting bored of the topic, I was getting bored of deciding which posts should stay and which should go.

If the people actually want it open I will re open it but I will also start giving out infractions for every bit of abuse that is posted.

Up to you guys.

Give up your moderating duties then, you are obviously having to hard of a time with it and don't want to have the responsiblity to decide what is and what isn't banter.

This site is for opinions and discussion, that was all that was going on, I didn't see much if any personal attacks at anyone, just the same thing that goes on, on every single board in this site.

HBK I know what banter is but banter doesn't have to equate to abuse.

Anyhow the answers are frequent. consider the thread opened again and it will be moderated properly.

Bay13, however, as been specifically set up as the only board that allows for trolling of teams and more vigorous debate/banter between posters. For that reason the Forum Rules are applied less stringently here than they are elsewhere on BigFooty.

That's not to say we will allow cart blanche in here and there are still some standards to which you must adhere when posting, as well as some unique "Bay13 Commandments" that apply.
