Nice to see he dressed up for the occasion !

I bet you Brendan Hartney would have dressed up to hand over the famous number 24 to Jamie Dunlop !
I dunno Andy, doesn't he work full time in his landscaping business now? He probably only had time to throw the jumper on over the top, make the presentation and get back to work. It's good to see him still around the club. :thumbsu:

I suppose - but just looks like he's on his way down to the TAB to put a bet on.

Still a great Carlton man though :thumbsu:

I also reckon his absence this year is being totally underestimated. When fit and firing he was a big loss for us and got lost in all the hype about Fevola !

Got there early enough (9am) to watch Bower running laps at full tilt. Should be ok for next week.

If true maybe we won't have to wait until next week...

Ratten obviously liked what he saw from important defender Paul Bower, who was a late withdrawal against the Brisbane Lions with a leg injury.

"Bower will be close, we're giving him every opportunity, but if there's any risk we won't play him," he said.

"We'll test him more tomorrow.

Sauce

I read somewhere else where Ratten again said that Bower will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness right up until the game.

Won't happen as not selected nor is he an emergency.
Best served to let him heal and prepare for the next few weeks.

God, it will be good to see Judd back next week.
I can't wait to see him playing alongside our new centre combination's

FWIW I agree, but if there is little risk deemed by the medico's and he is willing and able then I can't see why he won't be included; 'every opportunity' you would think means just that.

The same way he was a late withdrawal last week he could well be a late inclusion IMO.

Wait and see job I reckon :thumbsu:

Nope, not a chance as it's against the rules.

Those comments were made prior to the teams being selected. A late inclusion must be one of the three selected emergencies.

Massive oversight from me and upon re-reading Harker's post he did mention that he wasn't selected as an emergency, which I assumed he would be.

:o

Ignore me and carry on

Great report Kooley. Wanted to get out there myself this morning, but my schedule changed, and I couldn't get out there. Thanks for the update re: Bower - sounds more like a quad strain than a tear, so if we take the standard 21 days, he should be back for the Crows.

Got there early enough (9am) to watch Bower running laps at full tilt. Should be ok for next week. Brad Fisher also looks to be moving quite well as well. Some other guy was running laps but i didn't recognise him. looked at my carlton poster when i got home and it may have been rohan kerr.
The rumour about scotto is crap. He trained flat chat and looked sharp as did all of the players. the boys (senior team for tomorrow) trained for about 45 minutes with all the emergencies taking part (grigg, garlett, hadley and judd).

ground was quite slippery underfoot but the skills were excellent.
After going through my Carlton book I'm 100% sure this was actually Rhys O'keefe. Does anyone know if he is playing with The Bullants this week?
