Has apparently been put up for trade by Port. Given the obession with getting some tall timber round these parts, Id though I'd put it up for discussion.

Westhoff looked good in round one before he broke his foot (albeit against the Bombers).

Also Pearce, Megahead and, unbelievably, Kane Cornes

Just to clarify. Does this mean all 4 players are up for trade ?

Kane Cornes will be just like when Jude Bolton was put up for trade, they will expect way too much, not saying he isnt worth it but it's unlikely he will be traded.

Why would we trade our picks/players for someone even worst? His body is too scrawny it'll be like having another Fisher, only this guy's even worst.

I haven't seen much of him this year, but he's averaging 12 disposals, 5 marks and a couple of goals in an injury affected year....thats better than anyone we have on our list bar Fev.

Clearly I'm not talking about trading our first rounder for him.

I Wouldn't mind pearce, would trade Russell for him

Can not believe they are publicly putting Kane on the block

dont know about other carlton supporters, but i highly, highly rate kane cornes and would give alot up for him (minus the obvious, 1st rounder our gun mids (judd, murphs, gibbs, walker, simpson etc)the hampson/kruzer/warnock trio and any members of our key backline/forwardline (thornton, bower, jamo, waite, fevola, yaz, eddie).

maybe grigg, johnson and a 3rd rounder for kane cornes, but would suit our midfield perfectly and is a very good footballer

pearce would go alright as well

remember next year we are premiership threats we should be building for the perfect team

Pearce would go alright if we want to see another article quoting comments by Wallace and Brereton that we're a team of downhill skiers.

Pass.

Ebert is a bit slow and one dimensional.

And they would ask for more than we should pay.

Pass.

Cornes isn't worth Grigg.

No to trading 21 or 22 year old midfielders.

If Westhoff is any good and capable of supporting Fevola, why would Port want to trade him?

Russell beat him in a one on one where the Port player should have had him cold....

Offer them Johnson and Fisher and see if they will bite. Westoff might be better than Fisher, but cant get too excited here. Pearce would be good in a good team if he has a good preseason. Looks to be unfit and lacks workethic but has potential and needs to run different lines. Cornes mighe be handy but I don't think we need him.

We need an inside midfielder and a tall backman. We have enough tall forwards and enough outside runners but pearce may be better than some we have.

Definatly no to megahead!

I rate Ebert and think Carlton should definitely consider him, has been out of sorts this year but he is a decent player. A goal kicking, marking mid-sized forward is something we lack and I think we should be prepared to trade for him if he came at the right price (I'm thinking second round pick).

Westhoff is junk, wouldn't go near him.

Cornes would cost more than we can afford to give and Pearce is a liability when things aren't going smoothly, something we have enough of as it is.

I rate ebert too, he's the type of player we've lacked for years, a mid sized forward with good hands. We got pumped by the crows mid sized played last week. In hindsight o'keefe would've been ok last year in trade week. Also, if they wanna talk on Robbie gray I'd be all ears

We won't go for him I don't think because the price will be to high but I rate Kane Cornes in the top 5-10 mids in the comp.

He is a super-consistent 30+ disposal a week player who can actually play on the oppositions best mid and restrict them from having a major influence on the contest. He's as good as Cameron Ling and its just cause he plays for Port that he doesn't get the accolades he deserves. Juddy averages 18 disposals against Port for his career, the lowest against any team in the a.f.l.
No coincidence cause he gets Kane Cornes more often than not.

Not really.

Our squad has far too many run-with types as it is. Kane would attract the most interest, and the best trade. So not really a surprise when we are so lacking in many other areas.

You have to give up something half decent to get something half decent.

Our side needs a complete overhaul, so I'd expect many surpirises to follow.
