Well in my opinion he is ...
It's funny how people often take the mis-informed time to sledge players like Carrot after poor performances by Carlton, but if there is one player I have noticed that goes consistently missing and/or doesn't perform at the highest level, against the highest quality opposition, it is Kade Simpson ...

In fact, the last couple of seasons he's probably gone backwards as a player, or at the very least treads water ..
I also question his decision making ability under pressure, quite frankly when the heat gets turned up in the kitchen, Simpson has more turnovers then a bakery ...

I'd be surprised if Simpson finished in the top 10 this year in the B and F, and if he does, it's probably is because of a lack of depth at the club ...

Make no mistake, he should be on the table as trade bait in a couple of weeks ..

How about Stevens another of our so called stars, overrated and a disappointment with all his clangers for someone who is meant to be skilled. And then you have Carrazzo gets 30+ possessions a game but can't hit a target 20 - 30 meters away and his hospital hand passes, and to top it off his decision making and stop start crap.

He's not a bad player to be honest, but our whole team is made up of "not bad" players unfortunately (plus another bunch of very ordinary players). When you have a whole bunch of them playing together it's not great for us.

i agree, been thinking about it all year..like the way he goes about it but i think hes a player that could be worth some value to trade

I have to clarify and say I like Kade but yeah hard decisions I guess, if we get offered something worthwhile then why not.

I think you're talking crap. He was outstanding as fill-in captain last year. Unbelievable. No, he doesn't get traded. He'll have his adductor released at the end of the season.

With Judd in, Gibbs stepping up, Stevo back and Grigg running Simpson is not required to win the ball like before. I think his contribution has been outstanding, and he has added spark often when we have had little. Ratten is giving each individual player a well defined role and I think Simpson does what is asked of him.

Jordan Russell Board. From the games I've seen this year he is a very good contributer. Good on his left as well as his right.

Hasn't been as great this year as last, IMO it coincided with 'losing' the captaincy. However he's great when he's great I'd hate to see him on the trade table

kade will stay, a player with the right spirit for the carlton footy club
same with the chief wiggins, gets bagged pillar to post but his heart beats the navy blue

Couldn't have said it better myself.

A great display last night running into an open goal, he looked around for Fev, found him, and got Fev going. Great sportsmanship by Simmo :thumbsu:

Amazing, when people bag Carrots (a better and more consistent player then Simpson) it's okay, but if you dare criticize one of the 'precious pets' of the club, like Simpson, then all of a sudden, u go to far ...

Would he get a game with Geelong or Hawthorn right now Simpson ? I think not, I really think that it's time the club actually had the guts to make the tough decisions ...

I'm not sure you can say that it is amazing, when it is just your opinion that Carrots is better and more consistent.

No I have observed that everyone nearly every week likes to sink the boots into Carrot, but if you try dare criticize Kade Simpson, people start getting pissed off ...
If you watch games closely and study the stats, Simpson turns the ball over far more then Carrot ...
It's hypocritical for one fan to bag Carrot but yet Defend Simpson at the same time ...

With Stevens out last year he was easily our best midfielder. Has simply tapered off this year but that hardly means he is going backward. Clearly he is not going to have as much impact with Judd and Stevens coming in and Murphy and Gibbs improving.

Unlike the above, he remains one of our true midfielders which has good speed (maybe Murphy as well). Whilst our midfield is strong, we can be exposed by sides who have players with blistering pace (e.g. Essendon).

Could be good trade bait but I would be looking for something substantial in return for him.

Would be very disappointed to lose him. And i imagine he would be good value money wise as well

I think he's just simply had a form slump this year. As for him turning the ball over too many times, please, no he does not. He's one of the best kicks in our team.
He'll be at Carlton next year and hopefully near his best, which would be good for our side.:thumbsu:

His one footedness costs us 3-4 turnovers a game

Agree, he struggles against quality opposition

What we can't ignore is we often win when he plays well - he was great against Port Adelaide
