Although some may argue that I am being harsh on our skipper nevertheless I am curious to see what the tiger faithful think of him as captain. Not great i dont think. Maybe Bowden a better option... Also as he has had an uninterupted pre - season whats to excuse his form? Is this running game beyond him now? If Kane Johnson wasn't skipper would his position be so assured come nect week or the week after.
Your thoughts

Not captain material but there is very little choice. Bowden would make a terrible captain. Cogs was the next captain, and i think would be this year if he hadnt been injured last season. The next obvious choice is newman, followed by the younger boys.

Has leadership skills but playing very poorly at the moment. Not happy with Sugar at all this year.

I'm not sure about Newman.

I think we've had enough of the battler types.

We need someone special to be our Captain. (who have we got?)

Maybe Brownie, then Lids. Simmo? Rainsey in a few years?

No to Richo, Bowden, Johnson etc.

Just make it Deledio. Will keep him at the club and we can build a team around him. No one over 23 should get it, need to plan for the future. Cogs was set for it but that obviously hasnt worked out. Not sure Newman is the captaincy type. Love Simmonds but his form will start to drop off in a few years and there is no point making someone captain for just a season or 2.

As much as he isnt captain material... this is poor. :thumbsd:

The club should just have the balls to drop him if he's not in our best 22... not hope he gets injured.

Could not agree more lets drop johnson back to coburg this week. While were at it Krakouer and Pettifer and Patrick Bowden can join him. Play the bloody kids in place of these idiots.

I reckon just hold off dropping him this week. My main reasoning is that we are playing West Coast this week. I know we have all be alerted to his poor form but a young, out of form , in experienced team against the power house of the AFL could well get beaten by a good 100++ points. Maybe this aint such a bad thing. I persnoally think it is. However hold off this week and if he lets the club down again then really hit him hard with a dropping to the Coburguers.
