The blues would want a KPP so from Hawthorn, maybe Lisle might want more opportunities? Really don't want to lose him but he isn't getting many opportunities.

2. You need to have a word to your recruiting staff if you don't want the soft, outside, fringe dwelling types.

Thats fair enough but, he COULD still have 2-3 AA years left in him, and that would be all Carlton needs for a flag with all their young players getting another year of experience, if Lake got his body right he could be the difference between winning a GF and not winning a GF for carlton.
Also from what people have been saying, Kane's body seems pretty ****ed too.

Massive talent for sure but he only played one VFL reserves game this year with shoulder operations either side of it to go with an injury plagued 2010. Looks like he could be a good player but won't be ready to hold down a spot in an AFL team next year. I'd say without a doubt a KPF is our biggest need.

lol, nah we aint hurting now, last night was salvation....Personally I rate Lucas, and I think he could be of real value to our team, you boys showed we need greater midfield spread.
These people who dont rate him probably didnt rate Yarran either, i've seen enough in Lucas to suggest he can make it.
The criticism is spot on. A soft outside footballer with ordinary footskills; so ordinary in fact that Carazzo can keep him out of the carlton team.
The sort of player one of the West Australian clubs will throw a lifeline to in a few years, when carlton work out that being a first round draft pick does not necessarily make you a decent footballer.

Your description sounds like Matt Rosa when he first started out. Rosa improved dramatically, but it took him 4-5 seasons to come good.
I'd offer WC's 1st round pick and Callum Wilson for Kane Lucas.
With Embley to retire soon, Lucas has time to develop at WC behind Rosa and Gaff.

He's only rated b/c he was taken high by a recruiter, with a questionable strike rate. Even when he wasn't injured, the likes of David Ellard were getting games ahead of him.

Lucas has had some serious soft tissue injuries that knocked out his very promising 2010 and the whole of 2011, even though he was playing.
A quality player that for reason or another has not had the luck of the draw through injury and subsequent form. (See Shuey)
Not the player I'd want the CFC to lose.

That may depend on circumstances beyond our knowledge.
Koby may be the easier get and direct to our needs.
Not sure how rated the WC Brown would be. The Geelong one may be of more interest.
