Sorry guys but I need to vent.

I have had enough. Kasey Chambers is the single most pathetic bitch to ever walk God's good earth. I cannot for the life of me understand what this talentless hack brings to the music table. "Artists" and I use the term advisedly, like Kasey Chambers are largely the reason why music today is borderline unlistenable. She sounds like a drowning cat and cannot write a song for love or money. In a music world that lacks depth, talent and new ideas, the one last bastion is that of the soloist that can at least play accoustically. Sadly, if Kasey Chambers is one of the lamplighters in this area then music is languishing in a deeper hole than I first thought.

Plus she is a deadset scrubber.

I think you mean reservedly. Otherwise I agree wholeheartedly. When she sang True Colours, a song by my favourite female artist, at the Tsunami concert I died a little inside.

Well I think she's lovely

There aren't to many country music stars who can cross over and have genuine mainstream success, and there is a good reason for that. Regardless of what has been said, she CAN write an excellent pop song, and I don't think anyone would seriously question her country credentials.

On top of that she is beautiful and a genuine nice person

I think she is a great talent. Terrific song writer, lovely singer and able to mix it up.

I wonder about the hatred that comes out in some of these threads. If you do not like her ok. There are heaps of artists that I do not like. I just don't listen to them.

I thought her cover of True Colours was beautiful. If you want to hear that song being ruined, listen to Miles Davis play it.

Her album with Shane Nicholson last year was in the top 5 releases of the year I reckon.

apologies for the bump, was about to start a thread about this thing but thought i'd search first.
after seeing her face at the golden guitar awards last week, and listening to that goddamn awful voice again, i can't believe she's still winning awards and not busking on street corners.
the only talentless thing of equal value in the music world, she managed to marry...

get rid of that ****ing bolt through your lower lip too, makes you look even worse. nice acceptance speech at the g/g's as well, used a mobile phone on stage to ring someone, not funny, made you look even more stupid and perpetuate the dumb image of country singers.
go to ****ing nashville or somewhere else where the yokels will have you.
