Mate i dont have to pump up his tyres..... He played for williamstown in VFL western jets and is worth every penny he gets!!!!!
Undera would be odds on to win the flag with the other guns the have picked up as much as it hurts there side will be better than the stanhope side that had James trust me!!!
They have great group of player down there and the top up players will tip them well over the edge this year back to back undera.. GOD THAT HURTS TO SAY THAT.........

Exactly why he'd be playing KDL for somewhere around the mark already mentioned MM, u dont play VFL & TAC Cup and then just turn up to a KDL club for peanuts.
Boofaa79 they have to win it before they are classed against any side that has won a flag? This year's comp was well below the standard of years past, Stanhope were only a few minutes away from toppling the premiers out and they lost nearly half a side from the year before.

You obvously have no idea at what is happening at Undera. The only thing that you have stabbed at; that you are correct in, is that we are on top of our finances and hope to stay that way. I think you would find that if we paid people $800 a game we wouldn't be in the position we are in.

But perhaps you are trying to find the best way for Lancaster to get on top of Undera by casting rumours. Personally I wouldn't stoop to that, you have a very good side already and have recruited well. I would let your football side do the talking once the season starts. Good luck in 2010.

As Hank has pointed out, when players like the ones mentioned have no allegiance to a rural club like Undera(having never played there before, coming from the burbs) and decide to jump on board, it's hardly going to be for any other reason than the promise of an armchair ride to finals and the thickening of the hip pocket.

well i hate 2 be the bairrier of bad news but i really dont think longwood will fill 2 sides this year i know of atleast 7 players leavein last years 1's side and we never had a full 2nd's side every1 thats leaveing has been called dead wood but when you pull dead wood of a house you have 2 replace it or your house will fall down

My old team mate is a fair way off, the figures you quote of are pretty tidy and is good cabbage if you can get it but are not even ball park.

To be honest money was not even a factor, we could have taken a fair bit more 20mins down the rd but after having a night out with the boys and taking into account the passion Terry has for the club and the effort he made we really couldnt seriously consider not playing at Undera. Ohhh and apparantly we have a fair chance of doing pretty well again this coming season! getout, you interested in giving me a run down of our chances?? new to the league im keen to get an idea from an opposition player

Are the netballers much chop at Stanhope?? once they see the big Beazley they may be switching over to Undera just watch the big boy run around in his sexy sun tannned body!

Thanks for the clarification Getout, that you didn't know how much the boys are playing for. In regards to an armchair ride to the finals I would expect that we will have to fight just as hard as we did this year to make the finals and then do our best if we do make it. As Hank said we were almost out in straight sets but were very proud that we fought the season out to the end. I think it will be a great KDFL season again and expect most teams will be in with a chance at finals.

Haha, don't embarrass yourself jaxbac, just keep doing well on running the club from off the field. Jack may have to put himself on him if its a run with role, but if beazley is the size thats being bandied around then a RUN WITH role may be off the mark.
Didnt realise tige19 was on the way also, is this the same fellow that played for good coin at Tat and Benalla and left both clubs without showing anything? So I wont be taking his version on the pay packets too seriously, if anything he has now strengthened the case on them travelling 2hrs to train/play fro good coin, by the way I haven't got a problem with that.

I iterate .. and re-iterate about the discussion of players being paid to play
AFL contracts .. VFL contracts .. TEAC Bushie’s “College” footy and major league north-east O&MFL and GVFL. Fair enough in the quest for a share of the TV money!
But demands for some from some in “District” footy?

Incorrect, I've never pulled on a benalla jumper in my life and tatura was a great club... Only reason I didn't stay there longer was the 2 boys I played with didn't want to travel and I didn't want to travel by my self... And as far as showing anything, I was happy with how I went, never struggled getting a kick so hopefully my experience and tat will hold me in good stead for kdfl... Anyhow that's irrelavant, like Beazer were just looking forward to coming up and playing and trying to help the boys win another flag.

It is starting to sound like you have something personal against me and Undera. In regards to Murchison, we didn't have much money to spend and certainly didn't chase anyone that didn't end up playing quality football for the club. We also had far more money in the bank at the end of the seaosn than we did at the start.

If I remember correctly I donated 75% of my coaching wage back to the club and that year we picked up Matty McDonald, Peter Vourgaslis, Leigh Kellet, Willie Sanders, Greg Saunders, Dale McDonald and Timmy Richter. This proved a good mix with the locals and we did not have one issue during the year with any players. We had a good year and made the finals for the first time in about 10 years and lost the elimination by less than a goal by Lancaster. Lancy went on to play Rushy in the grand final. The club then went on to play in the finals the next year at least and I am not sure the year after that.

As I said in an earlier post good luck with your year, as with your recruiting at Lancy this may be a very good chance to win the premiership.

Thats a pretty big call to make by saying Undera will be better then the Stanhope teams of 2007 + 2008(won the first grand final by 15 goals and the second they were premiers and champions) but who knows you may be right Boofaaa. Stanhope were just about untouchable in those two years losing just the one time and when we came up against them it was a case of how much are we going to lose by today? Undera done well to make this years grand final for a start but my hat goes off to them for being able to knock off Nagambie, great spirit by the boys with a never say die attitude. As hank mentioned Stanhope were only minutes away from knocking off the eventual premier and while watching the game i told a mate of my mine whoever wins this match will win the flag. I didnt think Undera's side this season gone was too crash hot but obvioulsy it was enough to get the chocolates in the finish, i dont think they are in the same mould as the Stanhope team but with some handy recruits they could end up getting the premiers and champions title themselves and who knows, maybe you could be right boofaaa

$800. I wouldnt take the pay cut. Lol. Seriously mate Id love to know where you get these figures from. I wish I was on that but nobody in this league would or should be paid anywhere near that. We wouldnt be driving 2 hours to play for nothing but those figures are rediculous. We are not playing up there for the money. I have been offered the same money around the corner from my house. Just so you know, Ive always wanted to play bush footy but never had anybody to do it with and now I do. The opportunity to train in Melbourne when I want and to do what I want is the main reason for the decision to play up here.

And its quite embarrassing to hear all this talk about me. Ill be 31 in Jan and way past my best. Im hoping and thinking I can make a difference but to think Ill win the flag for Undera is crap. You will be very disappointed if you believe any of this sh#t. I want to help Undera win another flag but they def wont be winning it bcos of me. And Id want to lose some weight and get fit soon or Ill be useless anyway. Lol

Whats dead wood? Never heard of it. Is it rotting wood? Or maybe white ant infested?
Sounds like if your house is riddled with dead wood its going to fall down anyway. Not doing anything wont stop it falling!

I did a 3k run the other day and came in around 12 and half minutes and if I dont get my self fit I will be looking to the sidelines for a spell pretty early on! luckily I wont be spending to much time with Crumpet Beazley over the Xmas and New years time, a diet of KFC,beer and pies wont help me...

One thing Undera will lay claim to this season without any doubt is the slowest midfield in the comp, picture a 2 blind Para-Olympians on a treadmill!

Yes we are on ok money but as I said earlier we could have gotten the same money near where we live and we could have gotten a fair bit more money at a club an hour closer to home. Terry sold the club to us very well and he is a ripping bloke who bent over backwards to get us there. We think they are as good a chance as anybody to win it again and this is why we chose Undera over other country clubs who had rang us. Just so you know, we had a few clubs ring us but only spoke to a couple of clubs about seriously playing there.

We have told you why we are playing at Undera and that the money thrown around is nowhere near the mark, the rest is up to you to think what you want. I wont be justifying or saying any more on this from here on as Ive told you everything.

At the end of the day we are there and hope to win another flag. What we get or dont get is nobodys business anyway. Maybe you guys should worry more about recruiting players to your club and stop worrying about what other clubs are doing and how much they are paying guys.

Like the way you put that, you did sign with the club though did you not? Injuries may not have allowed you to pull on the jumper, but as I said you went there and gave them nothing!
