Pity there for yea. Vt boys are going good and there is just a certain few talkin us up. When we played nagambie in 05' we were a very undermanned young fresh unit its in the past mate lets just wait till our clash this year see what happens

alright, so you've forfeited your first game, do you think this will be a regular occurence or are you recruiting and going to be fielding a team next week?

I have no doubt that we will have a team next week, whether we do for the remainder of the season or not we dont no. If u guys are annoyed by not getting a game, imagine how the ppl on our team feel when they actually train and commit. Especcially the ones that only play 1 game. Were doin the best we can to get a side and we proved against Avenel and Murch that when we have a side, were very competitive.

Find it difficult to understand how Yea could defeat Avenel and then have to forfeit two weeks later

no offence 2 yea they were the better team on the day but Avenal were seriously undermaned playin 15 against 17 isnt easy,
A few of the yea players were ACK players who were just playin over the holidays

We had 2 ACK players who have played their whole lives at Yea and this is there 1st year over there, so their not exactly recruits. And that also wasnt our best team either, missing 1 or 2 key players but i do realise Avenel were undermanned pretty well also.

Those 3 all did play, but Puppy is playing 4 us every week where as Josh n Jake r playing 4 ACK during the school year. Big upset 2day with VT going down to Avenel by 4 goals...

the vt and avenal game today was a great game of footy for both teams and both would have got a lot out of it.
avenal having a lot bigger bodies and older heads is all that got them over the line today.
vt just made stupid mistakes kicking the ball up high to contests when we knew that av would be stronger.
the vt ruckman were *******s today so it made it hard for the on-ballers from vt to get the break as we had to play avenals game style and play to there ruckman.
VT happy with the outcome of the game!

yer it was good for us! hopefully it shuts up some of the boys from vt on big footy.

Narh mate, Avenal were actually short about 4 players and also lost Robby sidebottom who has decided 2 play firsts instead of thirds for most of the year.

Yeh Avenal have 6 ACK players, only 3 played 2day. Most of them will play the majority of the year for Avenal though and all should play finals.

Not completley sure mate, but I heard he was asked to make the decision between firsts and thirds by the club and chose firsts.

Varcs played his first senior game yesterday but getting limited game time as the wet weather didn't suit his height. he is doing well in the 3rds racing up the contested marks and possessions across half foward and should be a good test against gig this w/e. yeh yesty was a good win, a first win for the season but with 4 players who have never played football before, 2 who havent played in 3 years and 3 who are 15 yrs old the first 5 to 6 games will be all about learning to play as a team and finding our weaknesses and strengths but tis w/e is a must win.
